So, this was kind of… weird.
And it may have been a last minute April Fool’s gag, but likely not.
Around 10:45pm ET, the New York Post was apparently hacked, and a series of push notices were released.
The Post sent out this message after the hack was discovered:
“Our push alert notification system was compromised this evening. We are working to resolve the issue. Please accept our apologies,” the Post sent in a follow-up push alert, according to The Associated Press.
It really was some mystic, pseudo-religious, Prophet of Doom stuff.
There were nine alerts, helpfully captured by one Twitter user.
So the @nypost got hacked pic.twitter.com/FqMyKoR30x

The opening alert read: “Heil President Donald Trump.”
And if you want a clue as to who you might be dealing with, there were lyrics from the Nirvana song, “Come as You Are,” too.
Specifically:
“Take your time, hurry up, the choice is yours, but don’t be late…”
Start checking your area mall Hot Topic stores. You might find the hacker.
