Well, isn’t he just a darling ball of sunshine?
Brown-nose in Trumpjitsu, Sean Hannity, is feeling the power of being one of Trump’s special boys, as he proclaimed in a radio interview with Matt Boyle that President-elect Trump didn’t need a press office.
“It is the most underreported story out there,” Hannity said, as reported by Breitbart. “They’re not going to cover the fact that they themselves colluded with Clinton, helped Clinton, in some cases, gave questions to her or sought questions for Trump or for [Sen. Ted] Cruz through the [Democratic National Committee], John Harwood advising the Clinton campaign, moderating a debate. It’s pretty spectacular on Election Night that one of the moderators, Martha Raddatz, cried when Donald Trump had won the election.”
“I mean, they lie. They’re corrupt. They’re dishonest. They collude. They’re all in this hyperventilating mode about ‘fake news’ now, but they are fake news. That’s them. It’s now on display for the world to see,” Hannity added.
I don’t think anyone has doubted the media’s devotion to all things liberal Democrat, for sometime. It is a fine bit of hypocrisy for Sean Hannity, however, to talk about bias or collusion, when he and the majority of Fox News nested in Donald Trump’s colon for pretty much the entirety of this election cycle.
The Fox News host then questioned whether Trump should even have an press office in the White House.
“They’re done. I suggested the other day that if any of these organizations were involved in collusion with the Clinton campaign, why do they get a seat in the White House press office?” Hannity asked.
“Why does Donald Trump need a White House press office? He doesn’t. You know, you can have a pool person that’s standing by if, God forbid, there’s any bad news about the president that the country needs to know, but his own staff could tweet it out, for crying out loud,” he said.
Yeah. About Donald Trump and those tweets…
This is such a glaring show of idiocy, even for Sean Hannity – possibly the most vapid news “personality” in all of cable news.
It’s also troubling.
While his idol tweets about punishing those who exercise their First Amendment rights, his toady advocates shutting out the press.
I get it.
The media are corrupt, biased, and maddeningly inaccurate, sometimes.
That being said, the answer is not shutting down the press and having any news the public receives about the people who have been charged with running our government be filtered through the propaganda offices of our elected officials.
What Hannity is suggesting may have worked fine for Goebbels or “Baghdad Bob,” but we’re supposed to be better than that.
