Can somebody please tell me what country we’re in, again? There’s something really sick and wrong about what is being played out in Cleveland, and we’re expected to just close our eyes and ears, shut off our conscience and take it.
This is not my country.
This is not my party.
There will be a price to pay for ignoring what’s happening, in the interest of “party loyalty.”
While the establishment Republicans, led by the unscrupulous Reince Priebus, were railroading delegates opposed to Trump, the Trump supporters were doing what Trump supporters do: act like complete thugs and animals.
According to NBC, Utah delegate Kera Birkeland was on the floor during the Rules vote as one of the delegates calling for a roll call vote.
Birkeland reportedly went to the women’s restroom and when she emerged from a stall, a group of Trump supporters surrounded her and threatened to kill her, urging her to leave the party and the state.
I, myself, was told by one of Trump’s loyal Trumpidian cultists that this was their party now and we (conservatives) were being asked to leave. This was over the internet, however. Had I been surrounded in a bathroom by a group of these thugs and had my life threatened, I’m not sure what my reaction would have been.
As the convention moves forward, amid speeches from B- and C-list celebrities, handpicked for their willingness to lavish praise on Trump (anything to grab another moment in the sun), we can expect to hear more reports of thuggery and conduct unbecoming a civilized nation.
Anyone who doesn’t think this is an indication of what our nation will descend to, should Trump get the nod in November, is sadly mistaken.
Trump’s supporters with Stormfront, a neo-Nazi organization, said months ago that a President Trump would usher in the Fourth Reich in America.
It appears his Brownshirts are already on the move in Cleveland.
