Patriots with a Capital “P”; God with a Capital “G”; Our Men and Women in Uniform; and Freedom

The analysis is already making my head hurt and the book has not been released. I’m talking about “Going Rogue”. Sometimes the more you search, the less you find.

Before I’ve even read this book, I’ve stumbled upon a simple excerpt that tells me much of what I need to know. It’s the dedication. Neither Barack Obama, nor Bill Clinton, nor Hillary Clinton, nor Al Gore, nor John Kerry, nor Ted Kennedy would ever dedicate their memoir in the following manner:

to “all Patriots who share my love of the United States of America. And particularly to our women and men in uniform, past and present–God bless the fight for freedom.”

He said. She said. They said. I don’t care. Over analysis will be the endeavor of all journalists and pundits over the next couple of weeks. Like I wrote, sometimes the more you search, the less you find. The difference between Sarah Palin and the rest is evident. It is right before our eyes if only we have the insight to pierce through the diversions and smokescreens.

It is Patriots spelled with a capital “P”; It is God spelled with capital “G”; It is recognizing our men in women in uniform with prominence; and it is placing freedom above all other esteemed values and principles – all in one simple dedication sentence. Millions of readers will buy her book and glance over the dedication in search of hot scoops. I haven’t even read the book, only the dedication, and that’s all I need to know for now.

Fight for her. She is ours. She is right. She will need our support in the upcoming weeks.
