Dear Mr. President:
I don’t have much time to write. I have travel into the city for work. But I can tell you one thing; I am not riding the ‘T’ today. I am not going to ride it for a while. I probably won’t ride the bus either.
I live in Boston. In our politically correct city, liberals have effectively made the threat of terrorism a myth. But this is not a fire drill. This is not a fantasy. Your administration cannot ignore this threat any longer. The truth about Najibullah Zazi and his terror cell are out and I am sorry if his timing upsets your precious socialist revolution.
Zazi may have as many as a dozen cohorts in his terror cell and there is evidence they are targeting mass transit systems and other public targets. They are out there. They are plotting and your intelligence community can no longer play along with your fantasy.
This is my life you are messing with. It is my blood that could be spilled. The security in this city is lax. I have noticed on many occasions how the tunnels and the ‘T’ make soft targets. I have befriended many muslims, who occupy this city. I am not some paranoid rube. I just don’t want to blow up.
The media has provided cover for you. The Zazi story has been around for over a week, but has not received much attention. Now officials have confirmed that this threat is very real. And fear is primal. Even your brainwashed acolytes will turn on you if a disaster occurs on your watch and it is revealed that you were more worried about David Letterman or appeasing some radicals hell bent on undermining the CIA.
It is obvious that you don’t want to alarm people. You can mock and dismiss the thorough and diligent methods adopted by Bush. But you do so at the risk of bleeding American blood on American soil.
Man up, Obama. Time to put your naive, idealistic, little liberal friends in their place and deal with this threat, now.

With that mindset, I am starting to believe more and more that they WANT an attack. They WANT another crisis. Under the cover of a crisis, then can institute more change, do it faster, and in a worst case scenario, take massive ‘liberties’ in executing executive orders to ‘secure the country’. The Patriot Act will seem like child’s play. They have been systematically opening us to another attack. Our intelligence community is losing more and more ground. Our military is being thrown under the bus. Terrorists are only criminals, not enemies of the state. And this enemy is emboldened by our lack of resolve. The Gitmo saga will give more rise to terrorism.
Of the 1.3Billion Muslims worldwide, according to Gallup research, 7% are radical jihadists. That’s 91 million enemies of this country that want us ALL dead. That my friend is equivalent to the 12th largest country in the world. And they want us DEAD. The stupidity and arrogance that bleeds through the White House and the left elite ignore this fact. They are bent on their agenda, and are definitely stupid enough and blinded by their own ideology to concoct a plan like this to achieve their goal.
I pray to God that I’m just wrong.

Not about the potential for attack; not about Obama weakening our defenses and showing lack of resolve; and certainly not about the left devaluing life. On these counts you are right on the money.
Where I think you are wrong is that when the attack comes, Obama is not going to declare martial law, clamp down on foreign nationals or those with a history of radicalism, or go into any protective mode that will be particularly more intrusive than was the Patriot Act.
What he’s going to do is to stammer something about finding and prosecuting the criminals that brought this about (making sure they are read their Miranda rights when confronted), wring his hands, crap his pants, demand that the CIA , NSA , and FBI get on the ball, call for support (which won’t be forthcoming) from the International community, and sweat profusely while engaging in rendition with any caught suspects, because our CIA agents will be refusing to do anything that they could potentially be held liable-for in the future. This will be done secretly, of course, because Mr. Obama certainly doesn’t want to appear hypocritical.
Such, I think, will be their response until another attack comes on top of the first.
Success will breed success, and it is only after we have paid a truly dreadful cost that steps will be taken that will actually be effective (and maybe at that point your assertion that they will totally seize power and lock everything down will come about) .
In the end, it will be just one more thing that contributes to the political demise of this one-term wonder.

You are right on the money. I have really wondered why this story has taken so long to get “traction”. I think it all comes down to a pre-9/11 mindset that terrorism is a law enforcement issue, and that if we should just try to “understand” them and give them “social justice” and stop “oppressing” them (through our support of Israel – which seems to be eroding by the moment), they will lay down their arms.
It is amazing to me that, for as long as we were collectively asleep, that some want to return to that state while we have people snooping around our country trying to decide which of the many soft targets we have they should hit.
At the end of the day, the only thing a Jihadi understands is a Full Metal Jacket round, center mass.

So, the week that he starts his campaign for King of the World, suddenly the FBI/DHS rounds up a couple of guys on what appears to be very skimpy and very circumstantial evidence and makes a spectacle of them for the whole World to see how on top of security the BHO Administration is. If GWB had rounded up those poor struggly Middle Eastern immigrants like that the ACLU and CAIR would have been on him like stink.
