Apparently the editorial board at the Philadelphia Inquirer was split. They endorsed Obama, but took the unusual step of releasing a pro-McCain editorial as well. Usually newspaper endorsements are garbage. This
one is different.
First, this is Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, a major battleground. Second, the Philadelphia Inquirer is akin to the Boston Globe or New York Times in its leftist leanings. This gives credence to the theories that McCain has a lot more latent support in Democratic areas than many people are willing to admit. Lastly, it is such an oddity it is newsworthy unto itself. I suspect this will create a buzz in Philadelphia and act as free press for McCain.
There is something happening here.

McCain Wins PA
wiseprince (Diary) Sunday, October 19th at 9:38AM EST (link)For all the talk of Obama fighting in “Red States” McCain/Palin spent last week in NY,NH,Maine and PA. Ohio and Florida have always been battleground states so why the media is making a big deal of that I don’t know. VA,NC and IN are the ones that are problematic and of those I believe that VA is the one that is worrisome.
