This may be John McCain’s best ad, but it’s only a web ad. I don’t get it because the ad is only thirty seconds. It should be on television. McCain has had some great web ads that are just too long and expensive for a television. This is not one of them. It is short and cheap enough for a television ad buy.
It attacks Obama on taxes and it is highly effective. McCain has a big advantage over Obama on the tax issue if he can just articulate Obama’s deceptions. He has been unable to do that. This ad does:
What do we do? Write the McCain campaign and tell them to put this on the television.

The reason this add will be a backlash on McCain’s campaign is because the adds are lies.
Lies are not working this time around for republicans.
McCain need to stop following his VP, because people are getting angrier and this anger is not at Obama but at McCain, Palin and the entire Republican Party.
McCain needs to address the issues and stop the attack. It is too late for attacks. And we all know that most of this mess is cause by picking Palin.

This would indicate that over a 11 day period from 10-7 to 10-17 that the trend of the movement for voters was towards McCain by 4 points. At this rate, McCain would be ahead of Obama by 2 points on 11-4.
I would think the ads questioning Obama’s character to be President, and his values towards socialism are effective.
