&lt;p&gt;Just as important is to remind Rs that he is a pretty conservative guy in a left-of-center state.  He&#039;s an evangelical pro-lifer in a pro-choice state who has won statewide twice and has a 55/39 favorability rating.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That&#039;s not pumping him up.  That&#039;s noting he has won over swing voters in a tough place for the GOP while still holding a conservative line on the vast majority of issues.&lt;/p&gt;
