CT Senate: Simmons Back in?

NY Times(get the salt ready) says he’s back in the race. Sort of.

He’s not really running, but just wants to remind voters that he never really STOPPED running…if that makes any sense.

Not sure either he or Mrs. WWF can beat the slimy Blumenthal. The Connecticut GOP screwed the pooch big time on this one.

Scott Brown rips “comedienne.”

Kathy Griffin, who claims to make people laugh, called Brown’s 2 daughters Ayla and Arianna “prostitutes ” on her Bravo show earlier this week. Ha ha. Funny, Kathy.

Of course, Griffin is a vile, left wing pig from way back so this should not be surprising.

What is disappointing is CNN’s Dana Bash having a good ol’ laugh at Griffin’s viciousness. Ha ha. Funny, isn’t it Dana?

Brown, as any father should, has blasted Griffin.

Hate to say it, but Scott Brown does it again.

This afternoon Brown voted to allow cloture on Obama’s financial “reform” bill. His was the 60th vote, clearing the way for passage.
Just yesterday Brown voted “no” and cited concerns about a section of the bill(the Volcker section). The bill was not changed since yesterday, yet Brown flipped.
No explanation (yet).
He campaigned as “Number 41.” Looks like he’s becoming Number 60.

MA-10 GOP poll.

This is a weekend, online poll on the Republican contest to succeed the retiring(thank God) Bill Delahunt in Massachusetts’ 10th district. The two leading GOP candidates are former State Treasurer Joe Malone and current State Rep. Jeff Perry. In the poll, Malone scores nearly a 2-1 win. Hopefully, this reflects nothing more than district-wide candidate identification. Malone a)is a retread, and b)carries the nickname “Samsonite” because of the baggage from his scandal-tarred tenure at treasury. He’s a nice guy but is not the best candidate(imho) to grab the seat from the Democrats, who will likely run Norfolk County DA Bill Keating. Perry is busting his a**, working the RTCs throughout the district, while Malone has just begun running relatively weak radio ads. I think Malone hopes his name recognition and money on hand will overwhelm Perry, but it won’t happen. Perry is a proven winner and has incredible campaign energy. He’s also a solid conservative(check out his book) who will win and remain true to conservatism.

He says the bill isn’t perfect but he’ll vote to move it along anyway. The Dems are still one short of cloture(Lautenberg).

Support Jeff Perry in MA-10

He’s a 4-term state representative who is challenging incumbent Dem Bill Delahunt(if Delahunt runs for reelection, which is somewhat doubtful). Jeff represents exactly what the national GOP needs: a fresh face of unabashed conservatism, delivered with an optimistic message about the future(sound familiar?). He’s also a terrific campaigner who moved heaven and earth to deliver thousands of votes for Scott Brown. Perry opened his Cape Cod headquarters this morning, and will need help raising the $1.5M he figures it will take to win the nomination.Perhaps a Perry money bomb?

Coakley campaign charging voter irregularity.

They say 5 ballots given to voters in a couple of towns were already marked for Brown. Secretary of State confirms there were at least 2 ballots premarked. They were not counted.
The lawyer for Coakley is Marc Elias, who was Franken’s lawyer. See where this is heading?

Scorched earth continues in MA.

Now, they’re trying to say Scott Brown is a “birther” because of this innocuous comment on a TV interview 2 years ago. His comments have nothing to do with Obama’s birthplace or eligibility, but never let facts stand in the way of a good smear.

I guarantee you Obama will use this on his trip to MA(Northeastern U) today. It will get huge airplay on the local evening news. And it’ll probably work, which will allow Obama to claim he “saved” the election for the Dems.

I have yet to see any Brown ads using any of Coakley’s 25 or so gaffes she’s made in the last week. The MSM will certainly not bring them up.

Extremely enthusiastic rally today. Several hundred people attended. Brown will get about 60% of the Cape vote; the only question is, how big will that vote be?

One thing bothered me. Brown spent several minutes blasting a Coakley mailer that accuses Brown of wanting to deny hospital treatment to some 1700 MA rape victims. (We got the mailer today; it’s vile). Isn’t the first rule of politics "don’t repeat the charge against you"? He really laid into Coakley, calling her campaign the "most vicious in Massachusetts politics history" (as close as I can remember his words). The mailer is way, way below the belt…but if he’s calling attention to it, does that mean it’s working?

We’re so close on this; I don’t want the Dems to steal it with last-minute sleaze. Maybe he had to get out in front of it to negate its effect. Opinions?

Dem ads hammering Brown.

Brown might need another moneybomb just to buy up some of the ad time that the Coakley forces are buying. I just watched FOUR consecutive anti-Brown ads(back-to-back-to-back-to-back) run following a local newscast. Finally, a Brown ad aired after the carnage.

He’s being outgunned 3-1 on the airwaves right now.

Coakley’s union goons come riding in.

Fulfilling the second of my 3 predictions on this race, SEIU is buying up air time in the Boston market.

They’re going to slam Brown on–of all things–”global warming”, proving yet again the SEIU thugs’ collective IQ is in the low double-digits.

Rasmussen: Coakley +2

Or Brown +2, depending on how you screen it.

Trust me when I say Brown has all the buzz in this race. All of it.

Scott Brown–report from the Cape.

I voted absentee today in Sandwich. The town clerk’s office says it is swamped with early voters. Given the political tilt of the town(to the right), most of the votes have to be Brown’s. Hopefully this enthusiasm is being replicated across the state.

Elsewhere on the Cape, there are many, many Brown signs and stickers, but I haven’t seen a single Coakley sign or sticker. She just began her TV advertising; her first ad, speaking directly to the camera, looks like a hostage tape. Awful.

Don’t forget today is Brown moneybomb day!

Scott Brown ad controversy?

This is the last thing he needs right now. Substantively it’s nothing, but the MA Dems–led by the cadaverous John Kerry, are jumping on this “story”: the American Future Fund is running anti-Coakley ads. Brown released a statement saying he “wishes it weren’t happening.” Kind of weak. This will give the comatose Coakley something to hammer Brown with over the next few days.

Three things to expect from Martha Coakley.

In the wake of the Rasmussen poll, we can expect the following:

1)A trumped-up poll by the Boston Globe showing Coakley with a comfortable lead. The poll will probably be conducted by Democrat poll-hack Gerry Chervinsky.

2)If Coakley’s internals show Rasmussen on target, expect her to suddenly agree to a one-on-one debate with Scott Brown…something she’s been avoiding like the plague.

3)Again, assuming the internals reflect a close race, watch the floodgates of attack ads open. Coakley’s been hoarding her campaign cash, hoping not to need it. Now she might; here comes the Democrat slime machine.

I hope Brown has a strong stomach.

Obama blames Bush AGAIN.

From his pitiful, read-by-rote statement this afternoon: “It’s becoming clear that the system that’s been in place for years now is not sufficiently up to date to take full advantage of the information we collect and the knowledge that we have.”

Well, Mr. President, maybe if a)you’d paid attention during your first 11 months in office and b)you and your cohorts hadn’t spent 7+ years trying to undermine the collection of important terrorist data, we wouldn’t be in this spot now.
