Chris Wallace Doesn’t Suffer Fools.

(H/T Aaron Gardner)

Last night, I was watching the following exchange on The O’Reilly Factor with Chris Wallace and Bill O’Reilly, when Chris Wallace blasted the Obama Administration so hard that it made my jaw hit the floor. The reason why this surprised me so, is because Chris Wallace runs a very “fair and balanced” show and he usually keeps his personal opinions to himself—i.e., he is no partisan hack. Below is a list of criticisms that Wallace hurls toward the Obama administration:

—Both Bill O’Reilly and Chris Wallace call out Barack Obama for going on all of the other Sunday talk shows this weekend EXCEPT Fox News Sunday, which has the highest ratings. Wallace further points out that he has always been fair to the Obama Administration, that they “refuse to take yes for an answer”, and that “there is a certain childishness or pettiness” about their behavior.

—Chris Wallace also calls out David Axelrod for going on Face the Nation and denigrating the 9/12 tea party demonstrators by stating that, “They are not representative.” Wallace then adds, “This from the President who said that he wanted to reach out to all Americans?”

—Chris Wallace even hilariously points out that Bertha Lewis, the CEO of ACORN, will go on Fox News Sunday, but Barack Obama won’t.

—However, Wallace really burns the Obama Administration when he offers up the following zinger—

“These guys…everything is personal…everything. They are the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington.” (See embed below).

Ouch!! That’s gonna leave a mark.

However, I would be willing to bet dollars to donuts that the arrogant Obama Administration, and their pompous supporters, won’t use Chris Wallace’s honest critiques as an opportunity for some self-reflection (see Media Matters as exhibit A). No, they will probably continue to preach to the choir by having President Obama perpetually appear on networks whose ratings are in the toilet. Furthermore, the Obama Administration will probably continue on its quest to alienate swing voters by allowing Democratic leaders and their surrogates in the MSM to childishly attack Fox News and refer to its viewers, as well as regular Americans exercising their First Amendment rights, as “Raaacists!”, “The Mob”, “evil-mongers”, “Nazis”, “hooligans” and “teabaggers”. Heckuva job Obama Administration!

I think Wallace just invited the Alinsky rules on himself.

Obama and his administration don’t take criticism lightly.

I don’t think Wallace cares, etiher.

It will be interesting to see what the Obama Administration has to say about Chris Wallace now–or how they respond to his criticisms.

They are crybabies.

Obama is being treated like any other president we’ve ever had, Even Washington had his critics.

respect and admiration for him in that moment. He is no Conservative but he is an honest broker of the news and he could teach all the others how to go about being honest themselves, not that they would want to be. The objective is to take down the oldstream media and have those who tell the news straight down the line with no bias!

Agree Jaded. I heard that and was amazed how strong he was.

Especially, since I had heard that he was rough on Joe Wilson. Although as you note, he is an “honest broker of the news.” There have been many times that I’ve watched him and couldn’t tell that he wasn’t a conservative, he was doing such a good job as a real journalist, not a pimp for the left. Did you get the impression that even O’Reilly was a little taken aback at how forceful Chris was when he made those statements?

I did get the impression that O’Reilly was a little surprised at how forceful Wallace was–but I guess he had just had enough of the Obama Administration’s foolishness.

I’m sure A LOT of people were surprised by Wallace’s forcefulness. AS many have said, he is seen by both sides as one of the most fair commentators out there. He presents both sides of every story, so to see him call out the Obamabots and do it using the clear, starightforward terms he did was pretty amazing.

Ye may think you can keep a firm hand on the wheel by steerin’ away from the black skies of Fox but yer mate Paul Rodriguez has a’ready jumped ship and Jon Stewart is aghast at yer mates in ACORN. Yer mates at the 5 shows ye be goin’ on will keelhaul ya fer sure when they see ye’ve steered ‘em into the storm.

Or you’ll all go down with the ship.

I'm not always a fan of Chris Wallace

Scope (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 5:58PM EST (link)

A week or so ago, he did a segment on SEIU, and, he was just as kind and supportive of the SEIU organization, and their leader as you could get. I don’t like SEIU, they are surely in the tank for Obama, as everyone with 2 living brain cells knows.

His show today, with the ACORN CEO, Bertha Lewis was classic. He hit her hard, asked over and over that she answer Issa’s questions, as she sat in her throne and couldn’t even find it within her to even look at Issa. I’ll give her credit for even going on the Sunday talk shows, in light of the latest ACORN videos, but she performed very poorly. The best was when she said that since she took the reins at ACORN, that she has “cleaned it up.” Either Issa or Wallace then asked if the latest revelations prove that she really did clean it up. She couldn’t even answer that. What arrogance and contempt, but, what else wopuld you expect from a “community organizer”? You notice how the more far left you are, the more your mouth moves with virtually nothing but “just words” coming across their lips?

Congressman Issa came off a bit condescending,

Flagstaff (Diary) Monday, September 21st at 1:54AM EST (link)

I’m sorry to say.

He kept addressing Lewis as “Bertha.” I suspect he forgot her last name, but I noticed it, and it won’t be long before the R word is thrown at him. You know, paternalism and all.

Wonder what she did before ACORN? Well, according to Politico’s The Arena,

A native of Philadelphia, Ms. Lewis has a theater and housing activist background, including work with the Banana Kelly Community Organization and ACORN Housing Corporation’s NYC Loan Counseling Program, where she served as the Director. In that capacity she helped to negotiate landmark agreements with major banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. The mortgage and budget counseling program helped put hundreds of low-income New Yorkers into their first homes. In 1995 she joined New York ACORN as the Brooklyn ACORN Head Organizer.

Ms. Lewis is one of 10 national recipients of the 2004 Citizen Activist Award of the Gleitsman Foundation for her work in public education reform. Ms. Lewis received the 2005 New York State Black and Puerto Rican Legislators, Inc. Leon Bogues award for community and political activism. Ms Lewis was named by Crain’s magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Women of New York 2007, and one of the “ Influentials” in politics by New York magazine 2006.

Then I see

*All Arena bios and photos are provided by contributors

And here I thought that the Politico folks were real, news- and fact-finding journalists. Instead, they let their subjects provide their own facts. But I notice she doesn’t mention anything in that “bio” related to education or training to be a CEO. Ain’t America great?

I used to turn Chris Wallace off and wonder how the h*** he got on Fox. But I’m smilin’ now, arrrrrgh.

Let’s see, the biggest crybabies in 30 years, eh, i.e. since 1979?

Would that be the last years of Jimma Cata, Ronaldus Magnus, Bush I, the BOY from Hope and Bush II?

Wow, what an indictment. I will be mighty pleased when adults return to DC matey!!!!!!!!!

'Always working the Umps'

beafrank Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:49PM EST (link)

was the most accurate description describing the BO Administration regarding the media. The sports analogy is also appropo to describe how the public feels about this President. A sports audience does not appreciate a team or individual who is always working the umpires and officials to judge in their favor. Who likes to watch someone always questioning a call or challenging a ruling in a game? Does it not incite boos from the fans?
