Doom And Gloom Is For Losers (Cheer Up And Vote My Friends)

No one knows what is going on so do your part!

I know he has been depressing lately, but on Thursday Rove said we always poll really bad on this particular weekend. The fact is, no one knows what the deal is this year. You have several things in play that have never happened before.

1 A 50/50 split in the democratic primaries that left possibly 6 million people enraged. (PUMAS)

2 You have a half black man.

3 You have a pro life woman on the republican side.

4 People are really not happy with the country right now.

Which one is the overriding factor?

I have wandered over to the PUMA site and they are the real deal. Highly motivated and just as active in phone banking and door to door as we are. Anyone who doubts that they will have an effect that cannot be polled is fooling themselves.

I also think Obama being black is going to have some effect. How can you gauge someones deepest darkest secret in a poll? My guess is you can’t.

Is Palin a drag on the ticket? Yes, if you are trying to win liberals. Fortunately for us, we have no use for them. So what does Gov. Palin bring to the ticket? In my opinion she brings a ravenous group of people who helped get W elected. A group that is silent, highly motivated, and a sure vote. The major difference with her is that she is a woman. Anecdotal as it may be, the women at my church are more energized for that simple reason than they were for W. Bush is of course pro-life, but I think a women who has actually had to make that choice adds a new element. My sisters both registered to vote this year after sitting out their first chance in 04 because of Sarah.

The last one is that the country is obviously not happy. The question is whether they will place that blame solely on McCain and elect an ultra lib. The fact is people hate congress even more than Bush. Are we as a country willing to put an untra lib in there with the most hated group of people in the US?

No one really knows what is going on for these 4 reasons. The polls are all weighted heavily democrat by upwards of 10% and I cannot for the life of me imagine the country turning that sharply in 4 years.

All you can do is call people tomorrow and vote on Tuesday. If you know someone who is sitting around not worried about voting then tell them you will buy them lunch and drive them to the polls. Do whatever it takes to get people you have influence over to the polls. I have 3 uncles who are what you would classify as bums. I called them for the first time in years and talked to them about the election. They told me they saw Huckabee on TV and thought he was “cool” because he played guitar. Like I said earlier, these guys are wacky. Anyways, I asked them if they would go with me to vote for McCain because Huckabee was now supporting McCain. After a bit of child like negotiations (I had to promise them cigarettes and a ride no joke) I picked up 3 votes for McCain. I also rounded up two more votes by having my wife who speaks spanish, talk to our legal immigrant Mexican neighbors.

It is all a matter of doing what you can do to make it happen, no matter how small. If the extent of your contribution is posting here then you get what you deserve. Do something I beg of you!!!!!!!

The Oracle Is Always Right

Well, At Least When It's About Obama

The other day on Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough mentioned that Warren Buffet had met Sarah Palin. According to Joe, Warren thought Gov. Palin was very smart, driven, and a quick study. I searched and searched to try and find the exact quote, but to no avail. The only thing I could find was this video of Warren after Sarah was elected Governor of Alaska.

Other than that brief mention on Scarborough’s show I have’nt heard a word about Buffet’s high praise for the Governor. I guess that is to be expected since Buffet is an Obama supporter, and ringing endorsments only matter if they are directed at “The One”.

Every person who has met this woman has had nothing but great things to say about her. Even Alec Bladwin who is not only an ultra lib, but also mentally deranged, had kind words for the Governor. William Kristol and Fred Barnes who could be considered part of the right wing media elite, have said on every interview they have been in that Gov. Palin is amazing. Another liberal who had great things to say was Lorne Michaels. He used words like powerful, underestimated, and that people connect to her, to describe Sarah.

Let’s face the facts. By any account, from any source not on network news or MSNBC, Sarah Palin is made of awesome. All the snobby hand wringers who have dismissed this woman as a drag on the ticket need to wake up to the reality around them. Sarah was dropped into an impossible situation by the McCain campaign, and has come out of it more powerful than ever. My warning to the Noonan’s, Parker’s, and Brooks of the world is this….keep underestimating “Our One” and you might not be invited to our beer and BBQ party when she is elected POTUS!

Bill Clinton Is Awesome

Out of sheer curousity I watched the View today. I wanted to see what Mr. Clinton had to say about the financial mess and how it will affect the election. I also wanted to see if his recent history held true and he would completely leave Obama out of the conversation. Well he didn’t disappoint!

9/11 From The Leftist View

As Sick As It Is Ridiculous

Just thought I would share with you this piece of filth I found. I have been looking around at different site’s to see the feel of the country today. I never dreamed I would see such a reprehensible opinion on a day like today. This make’s it clear as day that the enemy of this country is actually the far left lunatic’s who occupy the Kos. The lunacy of this diary is so far out there that it may cause anger, so be forewarned.

The Far Left

My First Try Since The Last Diary Blew Up
I just got done watching Larry King and he had Arianna Huffington on. Well I didn't actually watch it all, because I couldn't take anymore. As I watched this woman spout her liberal filth I was bewildered. There before me sat a woman with a thick foreign accent voicing her opinion on what our country should be. You know the views...leave Iraq now, leave Iraq now, and leave Iraq now.

In the interest of full disclosure I must admit that I already viewed this woman as a money hungry whore. Who would flip and flop and slop around any which way to get what she want's. First she was a conservative for smaller government, anti-welfare. Then she was a liberal while she was shacking up with Jerry Brown. Then she was a conservative again when she married a bi-sexual millionaire. She has also tried her hand at writing where she was charged with plagiarism. Acting where she was a flop. And ran for Governor where she lost badly. So I think it's fair to say this woman is a failure at pretty much everything, until she find's the next thing. And it's hard to know if she truly believes what she say's.

My First Try At A Diary

Tribute To Gov. Palin
I'm not a great writer, or the type who comes up with some great argument defending this or that. I am just a regular middle class guy who believes in certain things, and believes them to the core. I cannot begin to tell you what the selection of Sarah Palin does for me. As a father of 3 young daughters. I feel like this woman gives me hope that my children will have something to aspire too. A guiding light that says it's okay to follow the Lord, be pro-life, be beautiful and not have to follow the crowd, and achieve great things. As a parent I try to teach them these guiding principles. But in todays culture it is easy for them to find a less than desirable alternative to my teachings.

I think back to the primaries when all you heard the candidates talk about was how much they were like Reagan. As I watched them I wondered if it would ever be possible for me to feel that pride that the people from that time felt. I love Bush but it wasn't a feeling of hope and exceitement when he won. I admit that seeing the other side all pumped up with tears in their eyes over Obama had me feeling a bit depressed. However misguided they were in their views, they had someone to be excited about. And the truth is I was jealous.
