The democrats are thinking long-term, while the Republicans are thinking short-term. The Dems are willing to sustain short-term losses in order to pass a massive new entitlement that will grow government and create long-term democrat constituencies.

If we lose this fight we are dead. 20 years from now we will look back on this as the battle when the war was lost.

Senators, DO NOT LOSE THIS ONE. It doesn’t matter what your messaging is, what the media says, what the National Right to Life counts your vote as. The only thing that matters is killing this HORRIBLE bill.

Makes me want to go out and punch hippies. And media types.

I want someone to represent opposition to this bill. If you’ve ever sat in the pew of a church and listened to an old fashioned heck and perdition sermon, you know what I mean.

Where is our Churchill, our Gladstone? The true statesman would address his colleagues, both R and D and convince them. Do senate rules forbid it? Do we lack a statesman?

perhaps not as pithy as “death panels”, but perfectly, unwaveringly, exactly on target. I can almost see the beautiful bright red laser point….But where oh where is our one strident and persistent ‘battered bastard of the 111th’? (Hello out there? Buehler…. Buehler….?)

Strikeeagle, thanks for the reminder of what, in my case, our Dads and Granddads did to protect not only America but all nations of this planet!

What a difference 55 years–yes it is only 55 years ago, makes. Now we have the commanding General of the Army telling us he hopes “Diversity” is not harmed due to a Terrorists actions or Prez Barry telling us not to rush to jugdement and giving “shout outs” for 5 minutes before he mentions Dead American soldiers killed on an American soil Base-WHAT!!!!

Republican Senators are doing the same thing on Health Care! Do not forget what happened with “Immigration Reform/Amnesty”. Senator McCain, Kyl, Graham…not only supported it but worked and attached their names to it and now they are doing the same on Health Care–they have no fire in their belly for anything they do not get a direct payoff from.

Is it any wonder Senator Cornyn (my Senator) is having trouble getting funds for the RNSC. I have told his staff directly that I will NOT give funds or support any organization who wants to fund Senators like Snow, Collins, Kyl, McCain, HP Carly, Ebay Meg…I will, and have, given money directly to the campaigns of those who do not want to sell their moral values for a pat on the back and hug from Barry Obama (ie Crist).

A Bic lighter will not keep you warm at night when the snow is falling, like in 1944 at Bastogne, but the fire in your belly, due to your resolve to win at all costs for the Soverignity of America, will let you endure when the world is telling you you have lost-surender now! That is what many of our Republican electeds are doing, surendering/giving ground, in hopes of reenforcements at a later date (2010 elections) –that is a defeatist/falied ideology and Americans will not stand with a loser. We demand a winner/fighter and will accept nothing less. The loonie left knows this , which is why they do not give up on Gay Marriage, Legalizing Pot, Abortion, Gun control, Health Care, Immigration Reform…so why does the Republican Leadership quit so eaisly. No Fire In The Belly–they are happy with a Bic Lighter instead of a roaring fire that will keep the Nation warm at night instead of just warmth for themselves.
