Boycott Oprah’s Sponsors

Using Your Money For Her Candidate

Oprah Winfrey has offered to produce Obama’s 30 minute infomercial. Oprah has the resources because of the money made off of her television show. We purchase the products of her sponsors. Time to boycott those products.

This is far different from the situation of the business owner in Maryland who was chastised for displaying a McCain sign. That individual merely was expressing his opinion. Oprah, however, is using the resources that she has earned from our money. She now wants to be part of the political process. We can stop her by immediately boycotting her sponsors’ products.

We should Boycott anything Oprah

TV, radio, books, magazines, her advertisers.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

ALREADY DO !!!!

Hollywood stars that see fit to endorse The One. I will never go to any of their movies again. It’s getting hard to find movies I can go to these days without knowing I’m supporting a Che Guevera type actor.

Our Family boycotted Oprah years ago...

FJG (Diary) Tuesday, October 21st at 10:57AM EST (link)

We refuse to watch her show or buy her books and magazines. But because of this I don’t know who her advertisers and/or sponsers are. Does anyone where I can find out this information? The obvious would be to start at her website but I would like it boycott that as well if at all possible.

Sadly, it has gotten to the point where you can’t really watch or listen to the majority of what comes out of the entertainment industry without supporting the liberals. The older I become, the more grateful I am that my parents taught us to love of reading, games, sports and local events (festivals, seasonal activities, etc.) as alternatives to the products that the liberal entertainment industry spews.

Spoken like the typical McNasty Supporter

Typical “conservative” view is to boycott. If you truly mean what you say, which I doubt, then move out of your home, live in a tree and each what the other squirrels eat. This is the only way to avoid the amenities of life that are not produced by Oprah’s Sponsors.

In exactly what “reality-based” community do YOU live in?

The BOYCOTT is CONSTANTLY a product of the left. Have you followed ANY of the attempts to silence Talk Radio over the last 20 years?

Try to use A LITTLE intelligence before you post…

Moe, Take It Easy On The Liberal Trolls Today

Swamp_Yankee (Diary) Tuesday, October 21st at 11:44AM EST (link)

I can understand why they are unhinged. I know how traumatic it will be for me if Samuel Adams ever announced that it will stop producing Boston Lager.

OK, Swamp_Yankee, that's just *libel*.

I have my differences with the trolls, but even I wouldn’t stoop to an accusation like that.

Boycotting is neither conservative or liberal

FJG (Diary) Tuesday, October 21st at 12:56PM EST (link)

It is simply American and dates back to our Colonial Founders. When faced with the Townshend Act, the Colonial patriots started boycotting the imported British goods. The colonists were outraged by this increase in their taxes. They not only boycotted the goods taxed by the Townshend Act but well over 100 other British imported goods not listed by the act. The colonists either found alternatives to the imported goods, bought the goods off the black market (thus avoiding the tax) or did without. Probably the most famous example of these boycotted and substituted goods is tea. The Colonial women developed a local alternative to tea made from flowers and herbs native to America and called it Liberty Tea. The Townshend Act was repealed after 3 years due to the damage the boycott and the black market were able to cause to the British import market and the East-India Company. The only import tax that remained was on teas (The Tea Act), which lead to the Boston Tea Party and the other “tea parties” that boycotted the British tea.
That is the beauty of our capitalist society. It is based on supply and demand. If we don’t like something, we have the right to refuse to purchase the product and create a decline in demand. And I maybe wrong, but I am pretty sure Oprah is more attached to her income and lifestyle than she is to her ever changing beliefs and principles. Not that she will admit it, but endorsing Obama has damaged the rapport she has with her core audience. Americans can respect a difference in opinion but we will not tolerate someone shoving their beliefs down our throats. Can one person make a difference against her? Probably not. But our forefathers proved that if enough people banded together it can work. (Personally, I think that Iran, Russia, Venezuela and OPEC are starting to learn that lesson as the oil prices continue to fall.) There are plenty of alternatives to Oprah’s brand and sponsors out in the market today. If anything, a boycott of Oprah, her brand and her sponsors is merely an added incentive to support our local communities by buying goods made, produced and sold by small businesses in and around our neighborhoods.

couldn't have said it better myself...

boycott them all, I have been and continue adding to the list! We can make a difference if we all stand together.

Can anyone provide a list of Oprah's sponsors?

I should have thought of making a more firm stand against the queen-of-new-age-theology-cum-political-engine long ago. Anybody watch her show or read her magazine who can provide a list of who we need to contact and avoid?
