Admittedly, we don’t know a lot about what is in the Mueller investigation’s final report. But we can state with a high degree of certainty that he found no evidence of the alleged collusion between members of the Trump campaign and Russian entities with the intent of influencing the election. Let’s review the bidding.

No American citizen has been indicted for any contacts with the Russian government.

No Russian has been indicted for attempting to works with the Trump campaign to influence the election.

The entire George Papadopoulos-Andrew Downer story, the fable that was alleged to have stared the whole investigation, is looking less and less like anything.

Carter Page, the guy who was subjected to an unprecedented level of government surveillance, has not been charged with even lying to Mueller’s investigators.

The documented driving force in starting the investigation was the opposition research report prepared by Christopher Steele under contract to the Clinton campaign.

No matter what grifting Mueller found, it had the good, old fashioned honest motive of making money and hiding money, not swaying elections. It is pretty clear to everyone, even to most of the Democrats and Vichy Republicans who have dishonestly pushed the collusion story, that there is no there there.

So it was something of a surprise when Beto O’Rourke went in that direction in South Carolina yesterday.

“You have a president, who in my opinion beyond the shadow of a doubt, sought to, however ham-handedly, collude with the Russian government ― a foreign power ― to undermine and influence our elections, the sanctity of the ballot box, the ability for each and every single one of us to make informed decisions about those who seek to represent us and hold positions of public trust,” the Democrat said on the campaign trail in Charleston, South Carolina.

It is easy to understand why O’Rourke and raging douchebags like Adam Schiff are doing this. Some surveys have shown that as many as 44% of Democrat voters believe the collusion bullsh**. By continuing to push it, and then by pushing “obstruction” allegations when the full Mueller report is not made public, the Democrats are trying to build the case that collusion happened and Mueller found it and the Trump administration is covering it up. 44% of the Democrat electorate eating that crap up gives you a healthy head start on winning the Democrat nomination.
