New York's Charming Commie Bans Media From Community Event and the First Amendment Posse Doesn't Care

Communist darling, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, held a series of town hall meetings over the past week in which she promised to summarily execute anyone making over $100,000 per year and to send anyone who voted against her to re-education camps…sorry, that was Elizabeth Warren…or maybe Andrew Cuomo. The point is she may very well have said that but the public doesn’t know because she banned the media from her events:

Ocasio-Cortez spokesman Corbin Trent told the Chronicle that the event was closed to the press to avoid “unwanted attention,” complaining she was “mobbed” by reporters at a Bronx community meeting earlier that week.

“We wanted to help create a space where community members felt comfortable and open to express themselves without the distraction of cameras and press. These were the first set of events where the press has been excluded,” Trent said. He promised that the media ban was “an outlier” and not the new norm.

Additionally, with this town hall non-story: it was designed to protect + invite vulnerable populations to PUBLIC discourse: immigrants, victims of domestic abuse, and so on.

There is no great mystery here.

Ocasio-Cortez is trying to avoid public appearances because it is pretty obvious that she’s an idiot. This is not to say she’s the only idiot running for Congress, only that she’s one of the most spectacular of that breed.

Why does she think she can get away with it? Because the press are Democrats and mostly extreme socialists if not outright communists and she knows they won’t go after a communist/socialist Democrat woman who is also Hispanic.

Maybe, while come 300 papers were writing masturbatory editorials denouncing Trump for hurting their feelings, they should have taken about ten minutes to consider how they are utterly failing in doing anything but acting as the communications arm of the DNC.
