The Department of Justice IG has announced that he’s launching a broad probe into the FBI’s conduct during the election:

The Department of Justice Inspector General will review broad allegations of misconduct involving the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email practices and the bureau’s controversial decision shortly before the election to announce the probe had resumed, the Inspector General announced Thursday.

The probe will be wide ranging — encompassing the FBI’s various public statements on the matter, whether its deputy director should have been recused and whether Department of Justice or FBI employees leaked non-public information, according to a news release from Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz.

Of course they have. Notice what is missing? Any look at how Loretta Lynch ended up schmoozing with Bill Clinton in Phoenix while the investigation was underway. Any look at communications from DOJ headquarters to the FBI on what they should do. DOJ interference in the investigation of public corruption surrounding the Clinton Foundation. They are only looking at things that interfered with Loretta Lynch and her cronies controlling the narrative around the Clinton investigation.

Coming as it does only a week from the new administration taking over, the only way this can be viewed is as a signal to Jeff Sessions that he may be the Attorney General but the Democrats still rule Department of Justice and that the Democrats there are out to extract vengeance for Hillary Clinton’s loss and they are going to put Sessions and his deputies in a bind that forces them to either acquiesce in the punishment of FBI agents who were frustrated by the Lynch Justice Department’s clear fan-girling of Hillary Clinton… or make it look like they don’t care about the law so long as there is political expediency. Sessions should turn the FBI lose on Department of Justice to investigate their culpability in the Clinton cover ups and let them see how it feels to have crosshairs on their backs. Metaphorically, of course.
