Yes, the old left-wing media has created this atmosphere in two ways. First, these dinosaurs decry the fringes they don’t like. And then they turn around and become the fringe on issues like the Ground Zero mosque, or make that “really-close-to-but-not-on-Ground-Zero-community-center.” And they still live in a fantasy world wherein they believe the public has forgotten that 72 hours ago this mosque was a great thing precisely because it was located at Ground Zero. This issue is only the latest where the legacy media reveals itself as the fringe, but it is the one about to take it out along with its Democratic and left-wing handlers.

The best result for 2012 and 2016 and beyond, and it appears about to be achieved, will be that what was formerly known as the “mainstream media” no longer will be relevant. It is long overdue but it has hastened the day.

Is he a Muslim? Who knows, personally I think probably not though he clearly has strong sympathies. He grew up in a Muslim school in Indonesia and has tremendous respect for the religion but I’ve seen nothing to suggest he seriously adopted the religion.

Not being a Muslim, however, does not make him a Christian. Not only is he not a Christian but he has never shown any respect for Christianity.

Would have been nice if the “MSM” had bothered to look into his past BEFORE the election. People should have known who he was and what he stood for before going to the ballot box. Instead they were told a pack of lies, and too many believed them.

We all had enough information about Obama well before the election to make an informed decision about whether or not to vote for him. Second….Some Americans believe that President Obama may be a Muslim. He made that big speech in Cairo, He has spoken about his education in a Muslim school in Indonesia, he has asked NASA to make their primary outreach to the Muslim community,..etc. Some Americans may believe he has a Muslim heritage. Why is that a horrific thing to the MSM. Do they think being a Muslim is a bad thing. I’m so confused this week!

On Obamas early church you can see that they refer to it as Developing Communities Project (DCP) as church based and it was not, it was one of those fringe faith based I need a tax exemption screw the system profiteering companies. On DCP.INC web site as of 10/9/2008 it reads – Developing Communities Project (DCP) is a faith-based grassroots organization organizing and advocating for social change in the Greater Roseland Community. The program involved helping residents of poorest neighborhoods, mostly African Americans including the Altgeld Gardens public-housing project. Seemingly a noteworthy, feed the poor with more and more until they were completely dependent on this socialist system.

Faith in the socialist system is not a church, this deserves more attention and research

The concept of “Taqiyya” or dissimulation of one’s faith, as some Shi’as do in Sunni countries, should have come up in discussions long ago in relation to Obama.

Don’t get me wrong, I definitely understand why people think he might be Muslim, or at least not a true Christian (especially w.r.t. his “my Muslim faith” gaffe and the ‘typo’ on his school registration form, not to mention the whole Wright fiasco and his being pro-’choice’). I just don’t see him acting Muslim. It seems like he’s genuinely trying to help (sometimes), but he’s just doing it in a big-government, capital-D Democrat way. Not like it’s helping.

Here is my collection of all the evidence that says he does and that it’s Islam:

He hasn’t publicly attended any Christian service since quitting Rev. Wright’s hate-filled church;

covered up Christian symbols at a speech at Georgetown;

said the evening call of the faithful was the most beautiful sound on earth;

hosts Ramadan at the White House;

offered no Easter prayer or offeratory statement on the White House website, whereas Ramadan had both (closing with “may God’s peace be upon you”)

“gave a lengthy and sympathetic speech to Muslims at a prayer dinner for Ramadan and pretty much ignored the National Day of Prayer,” (from this website)

bowed deeply to the King of Saudi Arabia, guardian of the holy cities of Mecca, Medina, but not Queen Elizabeth;

first supported the Victory Mosque, but then dissembled when it became politically inconvenient to go with the truth;

and he said in Cairo “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance,” and repeatedly quoted the “Holy Koran.”

His father & step-father were muslim and he was raised muslim (his dad enrolled him in a Madrassa).

Saw on the news today this statement: “He has deep Christian faith, but he doesn’t wear it on his sleeve.” IF HE WERE a true, Biblical Christian, it should shine through even when he wasn’t trying. That would be the power of Jesus Christ changing his life. There are things I look for to determine if someone means what they say when they declare to be Christian, and I have seen none of those evidences on this… person. No, he’s a liar. He’s no Christian–just in name only.

Could someone please gently explain to me why it matters what religion a person believes in or not?
If it mattered, I would have thought that the Constitution would have had something to say about it, like, if you’re not Church of (non)-England, then you have fewer rights. Or that if you were not Baptist, then you should be considered of lesser qualification to hold public office.
However you want to look at the Constitution’s 1st amendment, I can’t for the life of me understand why America, with this pretty good document for governing, stands out as the Western liberal democracy that is most obsessed with religion.

He says he’s never been a Muslim, but his sister said “my whole family was Muslim” and his enrollment at elementary school in Indonesia shows his citizenship as Indonesian and religion as Islam. From his ‘Audacity’ book: ‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’

Why believe him when he says he was born in Hawaii, when he refuses to produce a valid, long form, original birth certificate and spends over $1 million in legal fees to hide all records of his life?

As for the ……….”I will stand with the Muslims…………” remark. This has been bandied about in the media, taken out of context, when in fact, this is a statement made in answer to the hate filled backlash made against some Muslim families and businesses in the aftermath of 9/11. At that time many innocent, peaceful and long standing members of the community experienced vandalizim, death threats, etc. I think any decent person would have made the same statement, especially Christians who follow the teachings of He who cautioned us to love one another and to do good unto others.
