Wiki isn't a source.

John Kerry never "proved" a single thing that the SwiftVets said was wrong.

The guy copped three purple hearts, wrote his own medal recommendations and never spent so much as an overnight in a medic unit.

Kerry himself admits that the guy he killed to "earn" his silver star was running away and unarmed. It was murder.

Kerry wrote every after-action report that his medals were based on. Find me one decorated vet from any war who pulled that crap.

Kerry went to Paris to "negotiate" with the VC and NV when he was an officer in the USNR. That is arguably grounds for a charge of treason.

There was obviously something fishy with his discharge. He specifically went to BC law school - not Harvard or Yale - because they didn't require a DD214 and the Ivy's did. It's also interesting that his current DD214 and medal paperwork all carry the same date, well after he should have been discharged from the Navy and immediately after President Carter had the services review less-than-honorable discharges.

John Kerry has never released his full service record.

He lied to the Congressional panel about the supposed "war crimes" he said he knew about.

You've got your head so far up your ass that you wouldn't know a truthful statement if it showed up with neon signs attached.

Go away. You are disgusting.

From the Wikipedia listing on Swift Vets and POW's for Truth

A major part of the SBVT controversy centered on the group's testimony. Among the first to question the first ad was Republican Senator John McCain, a Bush supporter, Vietnam veteran, and former POW. He said, "I condemn the [SBVT] ad. It is dishonest and dishonorable. I think it is very, very wrong". As a naval aviator in Vietnam, McCain had no firsthand knowledge of Kerry's service. The SBVT statements were accompanied by sworn affidavits, although one affiant, Al French, later admitted he had no firsthand knowledge of what he had sworn to.

Furthermore,

The ABC television show Nightline traveled to Vietnam and interviewed Vietnamese who were involved in the battle for which Kerry was awarded the Silver Star. These witnesses disputed O'Neill's charge that there "was little or no fire" that day; they said that the fighting was fierce.

You can read it all yourself here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SwiftBoatVeteransforTruth

This just makes the rest of your post meaningless, whatever the point (I'll be honest, I couldn't bring myself to read beyond that without puking on my keyboard).

After reviewing this I remembered why I don't get such a bad taste in my mouth from McCain as I do with most other Republicans.

Senator Kerry came within 60,000 votes of winning the last election. He fought a long, tough and hard election against a president during a time of war. History proves that we Americans do not "change horses in midstream" and Senator Kerry came closer than any candidate in our history to unseating a war time president. One thing the senator did learn from 2004 is to trust your judgement and always speak truth to power. That has been the senator's trademark throughout his years of service to our country. I would take Senator Kerry at his word. When he says Mr. McCain is not the McCain from 2000 and he is no longer a mavarick, I believe him. And, I have followed McCain's record for awhile and I agree with Kerry- McCain uses that title only when it suits his needs. You can say what you will about Senator Kerry, your opinions were formed based on mis-information and lies, but one thing none of you can take away from his- his loyalty and patriotism to this country. He has always wanted what was best for America. We could use a lot more leaders like Kerry- who take the BS people like you dish out- and keep on fighting for what is right for this country.

Bitter that you can't keep a good man down. Forget your continued lies and smears. Senator Kerry is to much of a leader and passionate spokesperson for the people to just fade away because you want him to. Senator Kerry would have reason to be angry about his loss in 2004, but his support and help given to Senator Obama is given out of a love for his country. Senator Kerry is a patriot. He ran in 2004 to make this country safer and move it forward. He wants to make sure that the BS that people like you spewed and lied about in 2004 do not defeat Senator Obama. He supports Senator Obama as the best candidate to work to get the things he wanted to get accomplished done and he supports Mr. Obama because he represents the future of this country.
Kerry is a great surrogate and don't be surprised if he is honored with another type of leadership position.

I have come around to understanding why John McCain would defend John Kerry. I can no longer blame him for it. I just hope he has learned you can't trust a Democrat even if they also served in Vietnam.

If John McCain would have asked me, I would have told him that John Kerry is a backstabbing opportunist. But, perhaps he saw something in him that I could not see. Or perhaps he saw some similarities to himself and thought that John Kerry was also honorable and loyal since they had other things in common. In any case I no longer see this loyalty to a former fake soldier a character flaw, it's just a blind spot that is now hopefully healed.

That's what I titled this post. He's running against Jean Francois. Mr. Beatty runs a company dealing with homeland security.

Isn't it time we forced Lerch into retirement?

In the case of Kerry, he has good hair, is tall and lean, and wears a spray-on tan okay.

And so does John Edwards. But between the two of them, they couldn't muster enough intelligence or integrity, not to mention character, to fool enough of the people into voting for them.

Obama is tall, lean, and doesn't need a spray on tan. Biden barely has hair. But the two of them represent the Dems well in the usual categories--short on intellect and integrity, long on windy platitudes and untruths.

the more fitting, and much harsher, punishment may very well be allowing him to remain the Junior Senator from Massachusetts. From that silly perch he can continue to make a complete fool of himself on a regular basis and he can watch himself fall into damnable obscurity and total irrelevance.

On the other hand, I have a new rope I'm still willing to donate...

you state:"he's the worst Democratic nominee since Michael Dukakis."

lets see, George McGovern, Walter Mondale,
Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, John Kerry. The list of charisma challenged failed Democratic candidates is a long one. I am hard pressed to cite one as any worse than the others.

At least you got to hand it to them, this time they got another slick guy with charisma. It seems to work for them a lot better than the alternatives.

John Kerry seems bitter ever since he lost in 2004. It's like his hatred toward Republicans only fueled his mission to fuse himself in the Obama campaign so he can find some validation through a possible Obama victory. It's like Obama is Kerry's talented son and Kerry is trying to live out his failed ambitions through him. Kerry is no longer relevant and he's the worst Democratic nominee since Michael Dukakis.

I Guess failure is hard to get over sometimes. Turns people bitter and angry
