Obama- Gibbs and Takes: Why the O-Team Is Clueless About Tea Parties

It must be wonderful to work in the White House.  Who wouldn’t want that taxpayer-funded trip along the lush banks of DeNile?  True, there are those pesky revolts of the toiling masses. I’m sure pharaoh and his minions probably didn’t understand the ancient Israelites, either.

The president has asserted, unbelievably, that he was not aware of the tea parties.  His press secretary, so reports Tommy Christopher, is bemused that the partygoers are upset, having just received, by the grace of God and His Annointed Barack Obama, a tax cut.

.

To be sure, Obama is more liberal than pharaoh.  He has given the masses a little more straw to make bricks.  Alas, he has upped the quota of bricks by 400%.  That is the estimated increase of the 2009 budget deficit vs 2008′s.  Like the ancient Hebrews, today’s taxpayers know a raw deal when they see one.

They know that a massive increase in spending to finance politically-connected pork and an orgy of nanny-statism is like getting a basket of fish that is just about to go off.  In the short run, a little nourishment from the first bites.  In the long run, just a lot of smelly garbage.  The Obama/Pelosi/Reid approach will inevitably lower the people’s standard of living and the opportunities for their children.  The way to grow the economy is to grow the private sector that creates our wealth; the government has never created a damn thing.

The taxpayers realize that for all the talk about the rich, the middle class is stuck on a hamster treadmill of federal, state, local and property taxes.  They know that huge debt loads must either be paid off or society goes through enormous economic pain.  They know instinctively that the government should not imitate the fiscal habits of the mortgage industry.  And they know that eventually there are two disastrous ways to deal with mega-deficits: ruinous taxation or ruinous inflation.

So Mr. Gibbs, we have one response for you if you insist you are bemused by the public angst.  Who the hell does your administration think it’s kidding?

The “He didn’t know” line reminds me of a caller to Rush this past week.

CALLER: Yeah. Well, Mr. Limbaugh, you mentioned earlier in the show a very, very important point, which I don’t know how many people appreciate. When you were talking about who actually is behind this, and of course as usual, a hundred percent right. It’s Obama and Napolitano basically is someone who is a figurehead. And that also reminded me how, back in the old days the Soviet Union, in the early days when Stalin was around, and my parents had to live through this, there was the same situation where all kinds of atrocities were taking place, people used to talk, and my parents told me that, if only Stalin knew what’s happening, if only –

RUSH: Yeah, right.

CALLER: And this is exactly what’s happening, people saying, “Well, maybe Obama doesn’t –”

RUSH: If only Obama knew. If only Obama knew.

The worm has turned. I don’t blame “Family Guy”. To me the Tea Parties are not about immediate politics. They are not about 2010. They are about planting the seeds of a hard core activist conservative movement on par with the liberals who have waged fifty culture war with this country.

We are the behind the scenes activists now.

McCarthy is rolling his eyes from the grave.

Lincoln is angry! Reagan thinks we’re a bunch of idiots who stop thinking whenever our stomach is full! Teddy R thinks his bear deserves more compassion than our generation!

….

We need to show the Founding Fathers that we deserve the beautiful country that they especially built for us. We need to prove to them that they can still be proud of us!

Tea Party was a success. It’s roughly 600T in my own conservative estimate.

This is the Obama administration's

version of stay the course. So which is it, stay the course or gallows humour. Heck they’re looking even more clueless now than before the election and that’s pretty darn clueless.

Here’s to the American people and the day Obama’s policies catch him in the buzz saw of electoral backlash.

because today he announced a new “initiative” to help small business owners and entrepeneurs. Probably something along the lines of the $5000 tax credit he offered small businesses to hire new employees back before the election.

I don’t think bribery with empty promises is going to shut the people down. They woke up from euphoria of blank slate change.

Great write up, streetwise.

of the reason Americans are angry. News flash, it just wasn’t about taxes! Obama is a one level thinker, no process analysis capabilities. Just words and Just speeches.

Executive Compensation?

fmaidment (Diary) Sunday, April 19th at 12:11AM EST (link)

Who at the Tea Parties was worried about that?

We’re worried about the excessive spending and irresponsible government, not what CEOs are being paid. Sure, we don’t like bailout dollars going to executives who weren’t doing their jobs, but our real issue is with the bailouts themselves.

That kind of obfuscation is irritating. “Let’s take a conservative question and relate it to an unrelated liberal talking point.”

Bah!

Obama Doesn't Care What You Think

reaganiterepublicanresistance Sunday, April 19th at 8:54AM EST (link)

With Obama making it crystal-clear that he couldn’t care less what the TEA Party demonstrators were trying to get through his head, he will now enact his radical agenda regardless of the costs, and is perfectly willing to pull us into the abyss to do it.

In Barack’s world, even if impeached tomorrow, he could always brag that he fired the CEO of GM- the ultimate class-enemy. And spending trillions of dollars’ worth of your and the next 2-3 generations’ money doesn’t seem to bother him one bit- Obama acts like it doesn’t even merit discussion.

It’s hard to imagine a worse combination in a leader than managerially-inexperienced narcissist with Bolshevik mentors and weird racial/class grudges. This guy thinks he’s king of the universe, when his resume doesn’t qualify him to run a muffler shop.

The only “qualities” apparent besides soaring rhetoric to wow the plebes are towering arrogance and a black-hole where a conscience was supposed to be… explains how he did so well in the mafia-like Chicago Machine.

of liberal bias in the MSM. The wet “journalist” framed his question perfectly for the “Family Guy” to answer with white house talking points, just as he was trained to do in J-School. What a pathetic abysmal state the press has devolved into. Gibbs has got to have the easiest job in Washington.
