"Flattered" By Hamas? Obama Campaign Is

Digging the hole a little deeper

Terrorist group Hamas endorsed Barack Obama and his key spokesman, David Axelrod, didn't know about it. It's probably something he should have been clued into considering the criticism opponents will have to something so damning.

When he was told about it by the American Spectator's Phillip Klein, Axelrod said he "had no idea about that."

Read on.

The Hamas statement was this:

"we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle…"

Axelrod replied that "it's flattering when anybody says that Barack Obama would follow in [Kennedy's] footsteps."

Klein then asked Axelrod why Obama did not urge former President Jimmy Carter not to meet with the terrorist group. Axelrod was stuck again, saying only that Obama had disagreed with the decision. Unlike other political leaders, though, he did not make any efforto to dissuade Carter.

I don't believe Obama is a Hamas supporter, obviously.

However, that a terrorist group is so aligned with Obama's policies and ideas bears much concern. His connection, as well, to former, unapologetic, America-hating terrorist Bill Ayers doesn't help either.

Lots of lefties were "upset" that Obama was supposedly pummeled in last night's debate for "trivial" issues that are not important. Their positions on the political issues aren't going to change much but their character flaws, personal relationships and Freudian slips say much more about the authentic person we may elect to lead America.

For once, Obama didn't get a pass from the media. He's being endorsed by Hamas, he's insulting a large segment of America, he's not apologizing for close connections with America haters. He may be "flattered" to be compared to JFK, but let's be real, he's no Kennedy.

Ari Fleischer put it well tonight on Hannity and Colmes when he said, “Obama’s had a pattern of people who he is connected to who define wrongdoing and he hasn’t stood up to them.”

I, on the other hand, DO think that Obama is a Hamas supporter.

The question has to be asked, at least. Especially with some of the people he's chosen as advisers.

And now, CNN reports that Obama doesn't want to have any more debates...waaaaaa....he gets punked on one and now he wants to go home...

for sure, if there's another one, someone's gonna ask about the Hamas thing.

This guy would be a nightmare in the White House.

Utterly without spine. No wonder Hamas loves him.

i worry about candidates who talk tough and have a lot of spine. it seems that sort of three-testicleness is what got us involved in iraq which has seemed to be the single biggest catastrophe in the war on terror. i want a candidate who is doubtful of how good his ideas are and seeks the most intelligent long-term solution. i would never vote for a tree-loving democrat though.
