Why must we have another person die in Iraq for Harry Reid's mistake?

Next year - some time around the summer or so - we may hear of a sudden spike in deaths from IEDs. There will be a fair amount of photons burned over the cause of that spike; it will probably be linked to whatever issue of the day is the issue of the day. It will almost certainly be linked to the Presidential election. But it's not going to happen because of the Presidential election.
It's because Harry Reid is a equivocating coward who won't admit to being wrong, but won't advocate openly defunding the war, either*.
Supplemental Bill Needed to Fund Anti-IED Effort, Director Says
By Jim Garamone
American Forces Press ServiceWASHINGTON, Nov. 19, 2007 – If Congress does not come through with a supplemental bill President Bush will sign, money for defeating the largest killers of American personnel in the war on terror will run out Dec. 1, a senior official said here today.
Retired Army Gen. Montgomery C. Meigs, director of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, told Pentagon reporters that the organization will have to stop funding new initiatives and just maintain operations.
“We’re out of (funding) new stuff now; we’re going to have trouble sustaining current contracts after the first of December,” Meigs said.
[snip]
“What I can’t fund today will not go into the field next summer or next fall,” Meigs said. “It’ll be delayed by the amount of time we wait for funding.”

I am tired of this, and I am tired of the Democratic Party playing games with soldiers' lives. We're told that the Democrats have the majority of Americans behind them, and their will is the People's will. My reply, then: prove it. Congress has the means to end the war, by defunding it completely. If they are so confident that they can do so, then let them.
Because these current games of theirs do nothing but put American citizens in deadly danger.

PS: It will no doubt be pointed out to me that Reid, et al. will undoubtedly cave on this issue, as they have in the past. Very true, but I am as tired of enabling their bad behavior as I am of the behavior itself. What the Democratic Party is doing is not honorable. The fact that they are weak in their cruelty and spite does not excuse either. I will not pretend to a basic respect for them that I can no longer in good conscience feel.
*Appropriation bills come through the House, remember? Harry Reid does; it's an important part of what the charitable would call his "strategy," and what I would call his "scheming."

We are all heroes, you and Boo and I. Hamsters and rangers everywhere, rejoice!
That would be someone like yourself, carrying water for the rest of a group that can't read or intellectually digest facts.
But that's okay; after all they will now wipe your backside since you soiled your pants.
By the way, your losing this battle, but I am certain that's a familiar feeling.

Squelching the messenger and banning my account because you can't actually argue anything with real facts. Didn't the Nazis do that?
I haven't lost any battle... your too unprepared to actually even compete with me.
Fact is the military won't "run out" of any money till February of next year... but you douchebag republicans need some reason to complain about democrats again so you'll invent a story... like the WMD story... to have your way.
That works for "hello" and "goodbye".

Hint: it's really, really hard to pretend that you're for the troops when you call it "your precious little funding bill." Normal people would call it "our precious little funding bill," you see.

Apologist... yeah you had to ban my account and block my IP address because you can't handle the real truth. Republicans can't stand being confronted with actual facts.
What is so funny is that no money has actually been blocked but you'll lie about it to get your way. The $ 471 billion defense bill was just passed and signed a few weeks ago and you say they gosh darnit just spent it all already? $ 50 billion in supplemental spending from the war is really only on hold... and whats more its being held up by a republican!
Please stop lying... as is so apparent cause you find it necessary to ban people who know the real truth. No one is buying your garbage.
We've spent well over $ 1 trillion in defense spending in the last few years more than all other countries on the earth combined. I am sure the military can find a few lousy billion somewhere.
Whatever gave you the impression that you're that important? Or that you have ever actually encountered something that was true or resembling a fact in your short miserable life?
You're banned because you're useless and worthless, like a fly or amoeba ... and we've dealt with your type that were much smarter and much more knowledgeable.
So why don't you go back to where you're appreciated? Y'know, the world where Saddam Hussein flew kites and blew kisses to little children?
Bye.
And please be sure not to write.

No I'm banned because I speak the truth... and absolutely none of the postings on this board have been able to even remotely refute that fact.
In fact... all you have been able to do is call me names like little children...
If you'd grow up and learn to actually do things like research then maybe you'd be a threat to me but your not intelligent enough for that.
You're nothing. And worse is that you're not even original at being nothing. In fact, I'm only playing with you because I'm bored.
Being a "threat" to assorted idiots is very low on anyone's list of priorities. That's why nobody's bothering with your mad "truth" skillz.
Go shoot up or whatever it is you do in your mother's basement.
...he'd understand that his trying to keep coming back like this is just demonstrating to me that I accomplished what I set out to do. If we were really meaningless, he wouldn't bother.

What... prove your stupidity and lack of intelligence? Your incapacity for factual observation?
If this blog board or whatever you call it was actually important then there would be real debate on it.
... and don't bother banning this IP... its dynamic anyway...
sitting in their mother's basement in their dirty underwear typing one-handed. sad and pathetic.

Oh please... saying the military is going to run out of money is like saying the government is going to run out of money. They'll just print more.
The troops aren't in danger because your precious little funding bill didn't get passed... they're in danger because they are in Iraq based on a lie. There were no WMD's... and the day every republican accepts this fact we may all be better off.
Saddam is a bad guy? So what... so is Pervez of Pakistan... so is the dictatorship of Saudi Arabia (you know the real place the 9/11 hijackers were from yet we cut and run from there at Bandars request). Bush is his lackey...
