This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend and Memorial day is on Monday.   People will be BBQing it up and having fun with friends and family.  But this is not just a day for parties and golf as I am going to do.   This is a weekend to pay tribute to our finest.   We must never forget it is the United States Military that protects our freedoms that we take for granite every day.   So over the weekend have fun and always remember those that lost their lives protecting us and the American Dream.  Also those that are out there now protecting us and are far away from friends and family in God Forsaken places.   They are truly heroes and need to be given all the respect for what they do and what they give up to be our front line of defense.   No matter if you are for the War on Terror or not, you have to give respect to those that protect your right to protest that War.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag….
