Over at “The Hill” there’s a column with a video link of an appearance of Glen Beck on the Imus show, pretty good interview with Beck by the way. The part about JD is about 4 minutes in, but Imus and JD are pretty entertaining getting to that point.
The long and short, looks like Beck is not a fan of Johnny Mac, used the term “like to see him go”, but he’s not buying as Imus put it, “…He asked Beck if he’s for “that fat, undisciplined maggot … shock jock?”
Oh my, things aren’t looking good for JD’s run as Birther in Chief, or is he running for the Senate, so confusing.

but where the stuff about Hayworth came in…I didn’t see Beck denounce JD either…and if I were in Beck’s shoes I’d have said something along the same lines…I could give a fart in a windstorm about JD except for the fact that he’s running against John McCain and has a real shot at beating him….I would work to elect JD for dog catcher unless he were running against John McCain and had a real shot at beating him.
McCain is a joke and JD has exposed him for the clown and bafoon he’s always been. His military service being the sole exception John Sydney McCain is a fraud, a liar, an opportunist and a political whore who’d sell his mother’s soul if that’s what it took to win this election.

Once more off the deep end for JD
SteveLA (Diary) Thursday, May 6th at 8:22PM EST (link)JD Hayworth, proving once again his grasp of what’s really important weighed in on Los Sun Phoenix controversy.
J.D. Hayworth, the Arizona conservative challenging Sen. John McCain in the Republican Senate primary, wants an apology from the general manager of the Phoenix Suns over his remarks about Arizona’s new immigration law. From CBS News
I wonder if JD realizes that the Phoenix Suns are a private enterprise, and they are free to do what they want, without his approval or showing him their birth certificates. Love the picture of JD in the article though, captures his best pose, mouth open spewing nonsense.
Never mind.

Why I support JD
JamesSmith130 Thursday, May 6th at 9:20PM EST (link)John McCain is a sore loser. He is neither a conservative nor a progressive nor a maverick. This is a guy who holds grudges against his opponents personally and is a big baby. His recent conservatism is solely based on his personal grudge against BHO and not on any held principle. Lets look at his record.
He was a pretty orthodox conservative in his first few years. Then he was hit with the Keating Five and then championed campaign finance reform. Then he used that to run for President in 2000 and lost to Bush. McCain’s feelings were hurt.
Immediately he became Bush’s worst nemesis among the GOP in Congress, voting against his tax cuts and a bunch of other stuff and threatening to switch parties. In fact, had Jim Jeffords not done so, McCain may well have. Again McCain’s feelings were hurt.
Stung by the Jeffords switch, and the Dems refusal to court him enough, along with 9/11, McCain moved back to the GOP mainstream. Doing so, he expected that this would help him be the nominee in 2008. It did end up getting him the nomination, and he faced a guy he felt (and correctly) had not paid his dues, and had not given McCain enough credit for being the anti-GOP maverick that McCain prided he was. Again McCain’s feelings were hurt, and he determined himself to become the most anti-Obama senator that he could.
Which takes us to today. McCain has been pretty good in the last year and half because of his personal grudge against Obama (not based on principle). But who knows who would hurt McCain’s feelings next. If JD beats him or comes close, it will be conservatives that McCain lashes out against next.
Everything for McCain is personal. Until now, he has been sore about losing to Obama and has lashed out in that manner. That will change if he loses or almost loses to JD, and he will turn his hurt feelings against conservatives. Lets make sure that this big baby’s hurt feelings won’t drive Senate action, and make sure this guy is gone in 2010.
You said nothing
SteveLA (Diary) Thursday, May 6th at 9:28PM EST (link)JamesSmith
You said noting, zero, no facts about why JD would make a good Senator. The fact is he won’t.
As the AZ Republic put it he’s a bully and blowhard and it’s not all all clear to me that he’s not corrupt too.
Maybe it is too bad that there is not a quality candidate running against Johnny Mac, but JD Hayworth is certainly not a quality intellect or person, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

Don't need to
JamesSmith130 Thursday, May 6th at 10:32PM EST (link)John McCain is unfit to be in public office. A stump would be better than him. And JD Hayworth is far better than a stump, even taking into account his deficiencies.
Trevor
beau Friday, May 7th at 12:20AM EST (link)The point is, JD cannot find an endorsement…Reasons for endorsements are simple, it proves respected individuals think the candidate is worthy of their vote, and ours. McCain has received many, many endorsements. McCain is the best candidate. I suppose there are many, many reasons why not to vote for JD, but the simple truth is that he is unethical and corrupt, he is a blowhard and an egotistical, arrogant man who lost his seat in Congress after being voted the dumbest member.
