Tennessee Republican Party News Release
NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Republican Party has released a new bumper sticker designed to let people express their frustration with the relentless march by the Obama administration and the out-of-control Democrat Congress to enact endless “bailouts” and “economic stimulus” packages that are pushing America trillions of dollars deeper into debt.
The sticker, which reads HONK if you’re paying my mortgage, is available on the Tennessee Republican Party’s website, www.tngop.org, for a small donation to the party. You may order the stickers online here.
“If President Obama gets his way, the 92 percent of American homeowners who pay their mortgages on time will be forced to do with less in the future so that the Obama administration can use their money to reward banks that offered bad loans to customers who had no business accepting them,” said Bill Hobbs, communications director for the Tennessee Republican Party. “Government has no business forcing one American to pay another American’s mortgage. It’s time for the Obama administration to stop the bailout madness, unshackle the economy and the creativity of the American people by reducing personal and business taxes and cutting government red-tape and interference in the economy, and let the free markets work.”
For a limited time, the Tennessee Republican Party will send one HONK bumper sticker to anyone who donates at least $5 to the Party, or three for anyone who donates at least $12 to the party.
Donations for stickers may be made online with a credit card at www.tngop.org or by check by mail to:

itrytobenice (Diary) Friday, February 27th at 4:55PM EST (link)As mad as everyone is over the mortgage deal, I could see a little custom parking lot pin-striping in the future of any car sporting that little decal.
Proper grammar saves lives.

Who was it that...
progressivetokyo Monday, March 2nd at 2:47AM EST (link)Signed the original TARP legislation which which bailed out all those financial firms? Why was no one complaining then?
Why is only a bad thing when you help out real American’s who may be in trouble through no fault of their own (in many cases), but it’s just fine when we bail out these “TOO BIG TO FAIL” financial companies?
Where was the bumpersticker that said Honk If You Wanna Save AIG’s Lavish Parties?
Did you know pot smoking causes selective memory?
Next93 (Diary) Tuesday, March 3rd at 8:48AM EST (link)There were a LOT of conservatives, and a LOT of Republicans who were opposed to the original bail out bill.
Not to mention the fact that having made one massive mistake does NOT justify repeating that mistake ad infinitim.
It was a stupid idea then, it’s a stupid idea now. Difference is, under W it was an emergency measure, and under the big O it’s become a way of life.
Obama was The One in 2008.
He’ll be a BIGGER one in 2012.
I believe it was the Demorat Congress that passed it. nt

Democrat Congress?
progressivetokyo Monday, March 2nd at 3:16AM EST (link)Do you mean Democratic? Wasnt it a Republican President that signed it? And a Republican nominee who drew up the TARP plan?
And Im not trying to lay blame on any one side here, Im just pointing out the hypocrisy. Why is it perfectly OK to be bailing out these huge banks and financial institutions (doesnt it punish those who kept good balance sheets) yet its not ok to help average Americans? The middle class.
Let's talk about the CRA, the Banking Queen, and
Achance (Diary) Monday, March 2nd at 4:05AM EST (link)Dodd’s mortgages. No, let’s don’t because it is pointless to talk to lefty punks.
