How about there are two strikes and two outs.

The bases are loaded and its the bottom of the ninth.

We're down by three and the batter hits a fly to deep center field.

Does everybody run?

The third base coach (Republican Establishment) is telling everybody to hold up. Don't do anything drastic....

And this guy is on our team?

And, he's a pretty good one ... as far as Senators go ... but I really think the Republican party is missing the boat here.

to the primaries, basically trying to remove choice from the voters, is a "good" thing to you?
Tell your buddy John to drag his butt down here to Florida and we'll let him know how we feel about his treatment of Rubio and us, the voters!

I fully endorse Cornyn's policy views, as I understand them. But he's making two mistakes, either one of which is inexcusable as head of the NRSC. First, he's meddling in primary races. He should keep the hell out. Second, he's nipping conservative candidacies in the bud, poisoning the well with the "who can win?" self-fulfilling prophecy.

Put together, that goes beyond simply asking him to change his tactics, and reaches the threshold of asking him to step down, which I did.

Conservatives would still rather drive out the good (Cornyn) in favor of the unknown perfect.
Why do we still do the democrat's work for them, free to them, and at great cost to us?
As long as the lefty hacks can keep us divided and incoherent - and unelected- they simply read posts like this and smile, smile, smile.

I'm only giving to true conservatives. We don't need more RINO's. I couldn't agree more, 51 is better than 41. Cornyn's attitude gave us people like Snarlin' Arlen, Snowe, Collins, etc. When there's little or no difference between the candidates, we lose.

and I am from Florida. Since he has elected himself the GOP Primary Czar he is dead to me. No money to him, no money to the NSRC. I will give to candidates who can win if given the support they should have from conservatives.

He had better lobby hard for Williams to be appointed to KBH's seta. Other iwse I will do all I can to support Williams to primary him next go around.

Thanks in part to your consistent and faithful work,I'm a precinct committeeman now. I actually have a precinct to myself in my little county. (I also have about 400 doors to knock on.)

I told the local Tea Party crowd on 9/12 that they needed to become part of the machine of whichever political party they are part, to pull those parties back to American values. Each party has drifted away in different ways, though I think the Democrats have become actually un-American in their values.

I went to his museum in Dawsonville, GA, once. Got to sit in the car he won the first ever Winston Million in. He was a tiny little guy, always looked bigger on TV I guess. I still drive Fords, exclusively, even before they turned down the govt bailout/buyout, but I did stick with "Awesome Bill from Dawsonville" when he went to Dodge. Now I pull for Kasey and the number 9, out of loyalty I guess. If Kasey isn't running good, I pull for the leading Ford, the leading old timer, or some random underdog, in that order.

Hell, I'm still a Vikings fan after watching them lose 4 Superbowl's before I was 12, obviously you can't expect my picks to have any relationship with reality!

guy mostly because I've been driving Chryslers for twenty years or more. Liked the Penske Dodges with Rusty Wallace and now Kurt Busch. Really like Bill Elliott and Kasey Kahne early in the Evernham days of bringing the Dodge brand back. Liked Sterling Marlin a lot; I remember seeing his Dad, Coo Coo Marlin a few times.

During his time, I was and remain a Dale Sr. fan and there's still a "3" decal on my truck.

We need bodies to physically come into the Party. Conservative bodies. Now.

I had a couple of discussions this morning with two conservatives involved in the Tea Party "movement," as they call it. One knew the Party was at half strength, the other didn't. They announced this morning their new project, "Contact from America" (http://www.contractfromamerica.com) designed to help "the people" voice their concerns via the internet to the elected representatives. I got the e-mail announcement because I was on a Tea Partier list.

They both agreed with me that it would be a good thing to change the Party from half strength to full strength by having conservatives fill up the vacant precinct committeemen slots (neither of these folks, one in Texas, one in Georgia, were PCs) after I explained to them that fifty per cent of the PC slots nationwide were vacant. They also agreed that it would be a good thing, by filling up those vacant PC slots with conservatives, to have a chance at changing the 50-50 split within the Party between moderates and conservatives to something like 75 per cent conservative to 25 per cent moderate.

Both very nice people. And they've both done great work on the net. But I tried to nudge them into my way of thinking -- our country is being dismantled and the best way in the short and long term to signal that we conservatives are going to, finally, DO SOMETHING CONCRETE ABOUT IT is unite and flock into the main adversary of the Democrats, the Republican Party, as functioning, voting precinct committeemen leaders in our respective precincts.

The Tea Partiers and 9-12-ers are looking for their "next thing to do." I think we should encourage them to DO basic civics; that is, to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the actual political process at the grass roots level as a precinct committeeman or, if all available slots in their precinct are filled -- a rarity, as a Party volunteer. Lord knows we need them desperately here in Maricopa County, Arizona, that wonderful county that produced John McCain. (Uh, that was sarcasm.)

Thank you.
