I used to lament the fact that we no longer have a President who can speak on his own without being spoon-fed words via teleprompter. Now, however, I’m glad for it. Obama’s reliance on being fed his words makes him unable to speak extemporaneously without revealing his true beliefs. He did so again, when he decided to ad lib during a speech on Wall Street reform, and his old favorite – redistribution of wealth – came to the forefront. From Hot Air:
We’re not, we’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy.
Evidently our pay is not above his pay grade. Oh, really, President Obama? If you are so worried about people who’ve “made enough money”, you may want to have talk with a few people. Here’s a tip for you: start with George Soros. You’re welcome.
This is what Obama and his administration honestly believes. Having never worked a day in the private sector in their lives, they can only manage to put on big boy pants, but not to also act like big boys. As such, their naive view of the world and it’s “unfairness” reigns supreme and clouds absolutely every part of their agenda. To the point where apparently no one has told him that deciding how much money anyone makes is not his job and is, in fact, antithetical to the core principles of our nation.
Not only is he prancing around giving speeches about evil Wall Street, filled with feel good nonsense and super serious faces that even those who voted for him no longer believe, but he’s doing so when people are huddled around staring dejectedly at a one page Classified section. You know, Obama, people would like to make some money, reaching your apparent “too much” threshold or not, to provide for their families. Demonizing business isn’t going to do that. You know what will? Stop bailing out poorly run businesses. Stop regulating the good ones out of business.
Stop taxing them out of employing people.
I mean, at some point, hasn’t the Government made enough money?

There is no question in my mind
Composer_Man Thursday, April 29th at 8:01PM EST (link)That this statement by BHO is one of the most revealing things he’s said since his “slip” with Joe the Plumber. I truly believe that these kind of offhand remarks can reveal more about what is in a man’s heart than all the scripted speeches in the world.
(And incidentally, so does the Left. Remember how they have pilloried various GOP elected officials whose comments they deemed worthy of being ridden out of town on a rail.)
This man truly buys into the philosophical foundation of socialism – it’s really that simple.
And yet, he still goes around saying, "Who, me? A socialist? Whatever gave you that idea?"

My primary complaint about Laura Ingraham is
JSobieski (Diary) Thursday, April 29th at 10:18PM EST (link)the following instance of blatant media hypocrisy:
Laura was guest hosting O’Reilly, a show I don’t generally watch. Ayaan Hirsi Ali was interviewed in a short 5 minute spot. Laura did far more talking than Ayaan, and complained that nobody was paying attention to the roots of Islamo-Fascism.
After the short spot, Laura addressed a Britney Spears story and complained that it was getting too much coverage.
I realize that O’Reilly’s producers call the shots, but I actually did throw a shoe at the TV in my anger.

My guy and I never miss Glenn Beck’s show, but again, as with O’Reilly, he doesn’t believe Obummer is an illegal alien, in spite of all the evidence to the contrary. Maybe he doesn’t want to be labeled a “Truther”, which might cast doubt on the other issues he wants to expose.

Way smart, and is not afraid of the intellectual challenge from smart people on the left.
The failing that Hannity and Ingram have in my view is that they don’t or can’t handle the intellectual side of the conservative argument very well. Tony Snow when he had his radio show on FOX was in my view one of the Gold standard talking heads on the conservative side, sadly gone now. Of course I was a big fan of William F. Buckley and to a less extent Bill Bennett and the Newtster (only at times when he’s sane). I haven’t listened to Rush in years, but used to enjoy his TV show and he tends to think a bit more about what he’s talking about, way more than the aforementioned duo.

The Problem
paulrph1 Saturday, May 1st at 5:30AM EST (link)When i saw that Juan Williams was substituting for a talk show host I quickly changed the channel without seeing what he had to say. I had seen to much of what he had to say before. Mr. Williams does not back the country, but only sides with the color of his skin. He obviously does not believe in the Constitution. When you have 95% of the black that vote for Obama and still believe in him in spite of what he as done or continues to do, we have a problem. If this attitude is not prejudice, I do not know what is. If the whites would have pulled this race card thing it would have been a totally different story. The shams, the trickery, the manipulating.
Obama made 5 million last year but I will bet he did not work for free even though everything is paid for on top of this. But he is above it all, He is one of the elite, just like Tim, Van Jones, Acorn, sorry if I left you out.
