http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6350856.html

“[Senator John] Kerry called for a ban on the imports of assault rifles, such as the AK-47, into the United States. Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., and Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., opposed the idea.”

Mark my word, as we see the far left tearing apart the free market system under the guise of protecting the American people, I see the 2nd Amendment under direct attack — you should be very afraid!

– We continually hear the phrase “Never waste a good crisis” as initially stated my Sec of State Clinton but reverberated throughout the Obama administration.

– As we know, the MSM can hype any event making it seem much worse than it actually is… in the case of the credit freeze, MSM easily turned this to a Wall Street bailout, which it wasn’t. We can debate that actual fact in another forum, but the premise of MSM initiating a PR campaign is probably.

– In any city at any time, a rogue gunman with a semi-automatic weapon, handgun, or BB gun can bring caos to a community. We recently witnessed this in southern Alabama. While this is unfortunate, the same could be said for auto thieves in California running through crowded malls. My point is that an event is possible and very unpredictable.

My prophecy — not if… when we have an event in this country over the next 3 years where a gunman with an automatic weapon makes live MSM and does harm, the democratic congress will seize the moment to pass legislation to “protect American lives”. They will not “waste a good crisis”. There will be no firearm manufacturer bailout, nor will you be compensated for your confiscated weapon, less you receive an income tax for said repo.

Feb. 5 (Bloomberg) — Fannie Mae, the mortgage-finance company under U.S. government control, will loosen rules for homeowners seeking to lower their loan payments by refinancing.

Fannie Mae will drop some credit-score requirements, reduce income-documentation standards and waive the need for appraisals in some cases, according to a notice yesterday to lenders posted on the Washington-based company’s Web site.

I like how Democrats play this out like gloom and doom, trying to blame Republicans for all this mess we are in now. How soon we forget what got us into this situation… let’s watch so we can hear the words from those in Congress over the past few years.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxMInSfanqg

Pay attention to the 5:30 mark… listen to the BONUSES given by Fannie/Freddie during the time when they were paying people to lobby for them… AND paying people not to lobby for them — the opposition couldn’t hire them to lobby against the GSEs.

Anyway, only 37% of the public think like the far left Democrats and only 64% of Democrats support it.

A whopping 78% believe the plan will not stimulate the economy at all…

Did I mention fraud at Fannie Mae to get bonuses? What about bonuses as late as September 2008?

But Democrats will not acknowledge any of it, much less provide references to the contrary.
