The GOP members of the committee Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) chairs are pretty well over the congressman’s continued insistence that there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia following the release of the Mueller report (reported to be over 300 pages long) quashing the idea.

“Your actions both past and present are incompatible with your duty as Chairman of this Committee,” the letter stated. “We have no faith in your ability to discharge your duties in a manner consistent with your Constitutional responsibility and urge your immediate resignation as Chairman of this Committee.”
President Trump himself has even suggested that Schiff may have committed a crime for spending the last two years “lying and leaking.”
As is the way of someone who’s allowed themselves to get very deeply involved in questionable dealings, Schiff is not going to step aside easily.
Wow — after all Republican members of the House Intel Committee file a letter asking @RepAdamSchiff to resign over Russiagate, Schiff ticks through the major pieces of evidence indicating collusion and says, "you might think it's OK… I don't think that's OK!" pic.twitter.com/TtyUiI0w8q

“My colleagues might think it’s OK that the Russians offered dirt on the Democratic candidate for president as part of what’s described as the Russian government’s effort to help the Trump campaign,” Schiff said in his response. “My colleagues might think it’s OK that when that was offered to the son of the president, who had a pivotal role in the campaign, that the son did not call the FBI, he did not adamantly refuse that foreign help — no, instead that son said he would ‘love’ the help with the Russians. You might think it was ok that he took that meeting. You might think it’s ok that Paul Manafort, the campaign chair, someone with great experience running campaigns, also took that meeting. You might think it’s ok that the president’s son-in-law also took that meeting. You might think it’s ok that they concealed it from the public. You might think it’s ok that their only disappointment after that meeting was that the dirt they received on Hillary Clinton wasn’t better. You might think it’s OK. I don’t.”
Interesting he’s hanging his hat on the role of Manafort. The now-jailed former Trump campaign manager resigned from the campaign after just a few months on the job after falling out of favor when evidence of his own dealings with pro-Russian individuals came to light. The Trump campaign was well rid of him, and he left before the election.
None of that seems to matter to Schiff, who continues to dig his heels into the collusion illusion.
“[Schiff] has abused his position to intimate that there was more information coming; we’ve found that that was not true,” Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) said on Fox News in the 2 pm hour. “He’s lost the trust of Republicans on the committee.”
