Even the Hipsters at Vanity Fair Want Hillary to Go Away Already

When you’ve lost Vanity Fair

Not a publication known to be conservative, or moderate, or even graciously thoughtful about opposing political viewpoints, Vanity Fair has a not-so-gentle message for Hillary Clinton:

Go away.

Really.

It’s Time.

In a video posted to Twitter, several hipsterish types holding champagne glasses implore the former first lady (and almost first lady president) to move on (pardon the pun).

“Get someone on your tech staff to disable autofill on your iPhone so that typing an ‘F’ doesn’t become, “Form exploratory committee for 2020.”

Ouch.

Vanity Fair, a lifestyle publication that covers — for lack of a better catchall — the nexus between Hollywood and the Acela Corridor (with some intriguing, if sensational, investigative reporting thrown in), recently, in more typical fashion, ran afoul of the Trump administration when they suggested First Lady Melania Trump never wanted her husband to win to win the presidency.

A spokesman for the first lady slammed the “salacious” report and said Mrs Trump was “honoured” by her role.

“Once again part of the liberal media, this time Vanity Fair, has written a story riddled with unnamed sources and false assertions,” Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s communications director, said.

“As a magazine tailored to women it is shameful that they continue to write salacious and false stories meant to demean Mrs Trump, rather than focus on her positive work as First Lady as a supportive wife and mother.”

For a magazine that is fairly rated as having a strong left-leaning and liberal bias to plead with Clinton to “take up a new hobby in the new year…literally anything that’ll keep you from running again” indicates a significant departure.

In short, even the people who likely voted for her — or, at the very least, vote with her party — are asking her to retire.

Occasionally, opposing sides of the political spectrum can find something to agree on. The awfulness of Hillary Clinton appears to be that something.
