I wish you a Very happy “Internet Mother’ Mothers Day.
I only know you on the internet, and only on this site.
So to be quick and simple so I don’t go stupid and mushy;
I have read your comments,and find a kindness from your heart, and it seems to realy come from your soul.
That you would call a poor shlep like me son, all though on the net, is most telling about you.
I’ll allways call you mamma, that is if you don’t mind.

Actually, if I remember correctly that “discourse” was c. 2003 when he was being pestered by the Ottawa press corps for “proof” that Iraq had WMD.

But the reason doesn’t matter. It’s still a classic….

He was talking about Climate Change, wasn’t he?

Gotta give him credit, it makes just as much sense as anything Al Gore has said on the topic, and it may be the most cogent argument I’ve seen for Cap and Tax.

If only I had used as bulletproof an argument in all my course work. Silly me spending all that time applying theorems and corollaries. This is much simpler!

But as someone who suffered through discrete mathematics and had to do proofs (some lasting more than 4 pages), it made perfect sense to me.

Now I understand the rationale behind the Peter Principle…

… that doesn’t say that I don’t see it on a daily basis at work or on Capital Hill… Actually I need to add that the White House is infested with it at this very moment… not to mention every 9 yo crybaby who voted for Obama… then again… McCain has been suffering from it for years.

If some find this offensive… well your mileage may vary at $58 a barrel… but oh well.. too bad!
