Dave,

It's not really manipulating the data. It's under-selecting and picking out a subset of the whole data set in one small place, and essentially using that as the basis for a larger projection.

Note the brighter red on the curve inside box on the right, how the steep part of the sine-like curve is selected. This is like extrapolating the rapid growth in length of day this time of year out to predict that by later this year there will be 24 hour sunshine....

Through 90% of earth's history, atmospheric CO2 was much higher than today (380 or so ppm), by a factor of 10 or so. Excess atmospheric CO2 is taken up by the oceans & precipitated as massive limestones (CaCO3, calcium carbonate), either biologically or as a chemical precipitate.

As an example, see: White Cliffs of Dover of the Cretaceous Age, 65 million years ago. "Cretaceous" refers to the worldwide prevalence of massive carbonate rock formations of that age.

And all of that rock-hard CO3 was once atmospheric CO2.

... have been allowed to attend any conference on climate change, much less give presentations.

That graph you showed is just damning, because everyone with a 9th grade education looks at that and says, "Someone is manipulating the data". I'd really love to get a real .jpg of that slide of his.
