Continuing the discussion about whether or not the reportedly-cowering “armed” guards at the Mumbai train station had guns but no bullets….
Our good friend Tim Blair has a story up about India’s gun control laws, which include a shocking provision that could tell us more about the aforementioned situation:
Ridhima Mehra recounts the ordeal she went through trying to get a licence for her late father’s gun. “Even though my husband is a senior government official, I had a tough time,” she says. Now that she has finally got the permission to keep the gun, she cannot buy the bullets that go into it. “We don’t have a licence for the bullets,” she says.
(Emphasis mine.)
More fodder for the possibility that Mumbai train station security just carried firearms without bullets….
