The “if he lies, he loses” stuff is about the stupidest thing I have heard BillO say. Anyone with a little knowledge of recent political history knows that the worst abuses of new legislation come long after the people who put it in place are gone. The healthcare bill would not take effect until after the next presidential election. That timeline is by no means arbitrary – the Obama administration knows that the new system will be despised and they don’t want to go into an election with that millstone around their neck.

Sometimes I have a hard time deciding if BillO is being willfully ignorant or is just plain stupid. I think it is the latter. I think he has handlers that keep him on track most of the time but he goes into the weeds when he goes against their advice. That is pure speculation but the explanation would fit his pattern of behavior.

I was beginning to like him but the last straw for me was yesterday when he claimed that there were only 75000 protesters in DC on 9/12. There were far more and he should know it. He is aiming for fair and balanced but is missing the mark.

In his attempt to appear fair to the middle, O’Reilly is proving that he is willing to be disingenuous to get ratings. I am done with him.

IF the Democrats have backtracked on anything, it’s because people across the country have been vocally and boisterously and persistently protesting that non-existant bill.

If you and he insist “there is no bill,” just what exactly did the Democrats say they were going to change?

Are we supposed to wait until the Bill becomes Law before pointing out its shortcomings and those of its promoter? Do we have to wait until it’s out of the House?

The Democrats have been playing bait-and-switch with that ploy for weeks. Call them on something and it’s “The bill doesn’t say that.” Show it to them in HR 3200 and it’s “That’s just one bill” or “That really isn’t a bill, yet.”

When he says something you know isn’t, and can’t possibly be, true, with intent to deceive, that’s what makes him a liar. Get it?

O’Reilly just wants to play like he’s the biggest, fairest guy on the block, when in fact he’s just one of the big ones, but not too smart. He even admits it himself.

Kudos to Joe Wilson. If he hadn’t spoken “truth to power” nothing would have changed, and the public would be less smart than they are now.

I think somewhere around the time that woman made the harassment accusations he went a little soft. Maybe he lost the stomach for the fight.

and I say this to be helpful to my sister bloggers…but men will move heaven and earth to receive praise from their beloved mates….and they shut down mentally when continuously being beaten about the head with negative comments and constant screeching to stop doing one thin or another and get something or other done their wives want done.

Do I think he’d sign a bill that doesn’t address those issues completely? Yes. But it’s still possible, hypothetically anyway, that the president could insist that those provisions be strengthened before he signs.

In case it isn’t obvious, I have little time for populists when they decide to be willfully ignorant. O’Reilly likes to do that at times.

Of course my wife is a saint and I wouldn’t include her in that…nor any of the gals here since I can’t tell what their voices sound like
