The Military Judicial system is seperate from the rest of the Military, just like the Judicial Branch is seperate from both the Executive and the Legislative.

I know that there are strict rules within the military justice against what is called “undue command influence”. Basically there are strict rules against commanders trying to influence judicial proceedings. Do these rules apply all the way up the chain to the Commander in Chief, or at some point do the lines of authority merge and all command influence becomes “due”?
