Listen and listen good……..All of you in DC, State, County and Local…….. I’m tired of trying to remain calm, respectful and all the rest.

I don’t give a damn anymore about the “R” after anyone’s name….. and I definitely want all the “D” people to be gone at all levels regarding our country’s governance. You’re all targets of opportunity.

What I care about is the “A”………as in American.

American ideals.
American freedoms.
American liberties.
American rights.

No compromise whatsoever with tyranny.
No trying to get them to like you.

HOW DARE YOU !
We are a sovereign nation and people !

Is that clear enough ?

Now go to work on the usual suspects….. the rest of us already are there.

Well said, JLMA. I believe this is exactly the strategy that should be implemented immediately. Now we need to figure out who can help us get these ideas to the so-called “leadership” in the Party. Can anyone here help make that happen? Could we all commit to sending this my fax to Steele, McCain, Kyl, McConnell, Cornyn, Boehner and Cantor? Seems to me if we could get hundreds of faxes of this to these guys on Monday it would do more good that spending time running around turning our lights on tonight.

but it would not post. Maybe Saul has a webmaster who screens post. That’s perfectly understandable. At any rate, I hope he reads the following, which I tried to post at his blog (maybe he’ll see it here):

I saw Saul Anuzis’s identical post over at Redstate.com (set forth below) and a very good response by JustLeaveMeAlone. I agree with JustLeaveMeAlone’s thoughtful response.
While the Republican Party committees everything to death, it misses a huge opportunity NOW to gather into its ranks all those folks who are steaming mad and want to DO SOMETHING. Some of whom voted for Teleprompter Boy because the didn’t know any better and who might now want to find out the differences between the Dem Party and our Party. Where can they go to get that info? Not at the GOP.com site, or the Arizona Republican Party web site or the Maricopa County Rep. Party web sites. Nothing on the front pages of those sites succinctly trumpeting the values and principles that distinguish us from the Dems. And no info suggesting that we’d love to have the visitor join the Party as a functioning, voting member, that is, a precinct committeeman. Why no such info? Incompetence? Or by design?
I’m just a lowly precinct committeeman. (By the way, no one told me my input was needed for the revamping of the GOP – my Legislative District Chairman didn’t tell me about it, nor did the County Chairman or the State Chairman. In other words, the official chain of command does not disseminate information. Doh!) I’m fairly new to this stuff. But it seems obvious to me that the Party needs to IMMEDIATELY reach out and try to get everyone of these folks clamoring to go to Tea Parties to become a precinct committeeman rather than having them fade back into the woodwork, so to speak, after they’ve vented at a rally. Ya think, maybe, if these folks will take the time to make a sign, dress up, travel and attend for hours a Tea Party they might be the kind of people you’d want to join the Party? I’d think that. Apparently the Party “leaders” don’t.
Indeed, will the Party have people speaking at the Tea Parties imploring the attendees to join the Party? I’ve made this suggestion to the County, State and national organizations, and I’ve either gotten a response that it’s a good idea (and we hadn’t thought of it) or no response at all.

and we thank you for your work. I do not doubt your dedication or sincerity.
But I have to tell you, that studies and committees and blue-ribbon panels are failing to impress the American people. And We, The People, believe that our political leaders are so bogged down in process (or simply in love with it) that you have forgotten achievement, production, and results.
We want a CLEAR vision, (UN)COMMON Sense, and RESULTS, not just talking about how we are going to get them.
In other words, howzabout someone actually DOING something instead of TALKING about it? And where is the sense of URGENCY? While y’all talk and committee and study, the fox is in the henhouse NOW. I hope some chickens are left by the time your plan is complete.
Here’s what the party can do.
1. Read the Constitution. Read it again. Read it again. Memorize the Bill of Rights. If you don’t know it, learn it and believe it. If you can’t believe in it, then get the heck out. This isn’t where you need to be.
2. Stand up for what you believe in EVERY time. Draw a line in the sand and say “we will NOTstep over this.” Take a page from the book of British MEP Daniel Hannan. Every one of our representatives — in the House, in the Senate, in state legislatures, in city councils — should be standing up and giving the same kinds of speeches at every turn. No being Mr Nice Guy; take no prisoners.
3. I know Obama and his dem machine are throwing the changes at us fast and furious. But now is NOT the time to pick our battles. Now is the time to stand up and shout NO in EVERY battle. Do not give one inch on conservative and Constitutional principles. When our rights are attacked, point it out. Call it what it is and don’t let them obfuscate with silly politispeak.
4. Stop spending The People’s money like drunken sailors. If it’s going to happen, let the dems own it. Do NOT comply with them. Do NOT condone their actions. Do NOT compromise. Do NOT enable. Look for ways to cut their budgets and thwart their spending plans at every turn. Make it as difficult as you possibly can.
5. Root out those who will not work the agenda and cut them out of our process. I’m sure the Dems will embrace them happily. Let them.
The American people have been lulled and bewitched by the charming voice of Big Brother, promising to rescue, resuscitate, and revitalize, and put a chicken in every pot — though never quite saying how or finding the means to pay the bills for it, other than by printing more monopoly money.
But We, The People are awakening. And the republican party needs to be the obnoxiously ringing alarm clock, shouting, “Wake Up! That dream of stimulus? Here’s what it will actually do to you … That promise of health care? Here’s what it will really mean to you … That ideal of saving the planet? Here’s what the science actually proves … That ideal of providing justice for Gitmo detainees? Here’s what it really means in terms of releasing murderers of American service people and/or releasing these animals into our own nation … That wonderful utopian idea of a national service corp? It’s really away to indoctrinate your children and split your family … ” This list goes on and on.
Where are the Republican voices?
To the American people: We cannot spend our way out of debt. We cannot borrow our way out of debt.
The only way to create economic activity is to spend money; that is true. So put money into the hands of The People, and they will spend it. How? Cut taxes.
The only way to create jobs (not make-work that doesn’t last) is to create a need for those jobs and the ability for businesses to pay for them. How? Cut corporate tax rates (the less I pay the IRS, the more workers I can hire.) Offer further tax credits to businesses to encourage hiring in “desirable sectors”, if you must social-engineer.
The only way to encourage private investment in American businesses, thereby creating American jobs, is to make it worthwhile for me to pull my cash out from under the mattress and invest it. So get rid of the Capital Gains Tax. Reward investors who risk capital in these uncertain times. You’d see a HUGE resurgence in investment if you were to do so.
(Oh, and as an aside, do NOT go back on your word as was done with AIG. What was done to the people who kept that firm afloat the past year is criminal and makes every American business highly wary of doing anything in cooperation with the US Government.)
Protect our second-amendment rights to bear arms. Period.
Protect our first-amendment rights of speech and religious freedom.
Prevent unconstitutional Bills of Attainder.
Champion those who have no voice of their own, the weakest among us. The unborn, the sick, the elderly. This is our responsibility as rational and ethical human beings.
Honor and protect our long-standing allies, while offering an open hand towards those who wish to achieve that status.
Defend the homeland without trampling on civil liberties to do so, but with all diligence, care, and respect for this Nation, her Citizens, and her Rule of Law.
Remember that the government of the USA derives its just powers from the consent of the governed. We gave that consent — and we can withdraw it; never doubt that. The power flows from US. Remind the so-call power brokers just who really owns this nation. Not DC. Not dems; not republicans. THE PEOPLE, and God bless us all.

Recommenders: JadedByPolitics, George Claghorn

After some 8 weeks of work and countless hours of meetings, research, analysis and discussions…the RNC Transition Team presented their findings and 100-Day Plans to Chairman Steele. The last reports were presented this last Thursday.
RNC Chairman Michael Steele asked 10 RNC members from around the country and recruited a number of “politicos” and “consultants” to help analyze exactly what the RNC did…what it should do…and propose a 100-Day Plan to implement a new, fresh approach for the RNC.
I was most impressed with Michael’s initial meeting with the team where he challenged us to leave no stone unturned and not to be afraid to “think outside the box”. He wanted us to challenge the status quo and just because things were done one way, it didn’t mean it had to be done that way going forward.
He created 7 sub-committees that analyzed various aspects of what the RNC does…those included Finance, Administration, Political, Education, Technology, Communications, Strategy and Legal.
Each group interviewed staff, reached out the other RNC members for their input and insight, put together current and suggested organizational charts, budgets and objectives. Each group proposed a 100-Day Plan with timelines and goals to move the process forward.
Much of the analysis involved reaching out to the grassroots for comments and help. I think it’s impressive that over 8,000+ activists from around the country provided insights, suggestions, comments and ideas…even plans and proposals. Many volunteers just jumped in and did all they could to help Steele get all the input he should have as he prepares to implement his plans and strategy.
As of this week, Chairman Steele was presented with everyone’s final recommendations, suggestions and comments. Needless to say, Michael and Jan have some “heavy reading” to go over this weekendJ
Overall I think the process was very productive and instructive. Many great ideas and suggested were put forth. The Chairman’s challenge is to go through this huge volume of information and recommendations and put forth his vision and plan on how to move our party forward and organize our troops nationwide.
I have to say, I feel confident Michael Steele has taken the time, made the effort and reached out to all that were willing to help put together a plan to lead us to victory. The challenges are great, the obstacles formidable and the opportunities boundless.
As Chairman Steele implements his plan, builds him team and reaches out to the grassroots for help, I hope all of us join together to help move our party forward.
It was an honor to be part of this process and I look forward to working with and supporting Chairman Steele as we rebuild our great party and movement.

The iron is hot. Millions of people around the country want to DO SOMETHING to right the ship of state. Witness the spontaneous outpourings around the country for the Tea Parties and the protests (such as in Mesa, AZ) whenever Teleprompter Man-child appears. People are DOING things. But are they doing the most effective things? And for what purpose? Venting? Or to really “change things.”
In my humble opinion, the following should be the top priority of our battle plan. And it should happen now, while people are paying attention to the foibles (both domestically, and, as we’ve seen in the past few days, in the realm of foreign affairs) of the empty suit occupying the Oval Office and the empty suits (and pant suits) that surround him and pull his puppet strings.
Background: I’m an American first, a conservative second, a Republican by necessity. A veteran, a father, a husband and (gasp!) a trial lawyer. All is not lost, but it could be. I’ve read Churchill’s six volume treatise on the Second World War and we have experienced NOTHING comparable in terms of damage to our way of life. I’m a military academy grad. And, like you probably are, am a student of our founding documents and philosophy. We are good people trying to get our country back. With that introduction, consider the following:
What really matters as to “changing things” is winning at the ballot box on Election Day. Seems obvious. If you accept that premise, then what ought to set your priorities in terms of your time and effort? Might not that be . . . winning elections? Again, it seems obvious. But are we directing our individual efforts directly to that goal? If you agree with that premise, then, in my humble opinion, you can BEST achieve that goal, and really change the country, by becoming a Republican Party Precinct Committeeman! The most powerful office in the world! Why? Because Precinct Committeemen determine who gets the chance to be elected to office at every level of government.
Ask yourself whether the following is not the case.
1. To change things, we must change the laws.
2. To change the laws, we must change the people who make them.
3. To get elected, your candidate must be on the ballot.
4. To get on the November ballot you must win the Primary.
5. To win the Primary, you must get the support of people who make endorsements in the Primary, who reliably vote in the Primary, and who get out the vote of others in the Primary. Those people are the Precinct Committeemen.
Do you want to get involved in politics and advance the conservative agenda? I mean really involved? I do. And I have. I’m a fairly recent Arizona transplant. And a fairly new Precinct Committeeman – and a grateful one; grateful for the opportunity to serve in this rubber-meets-the-road capacity. Recently, I learned – to my shock, and dismay – that the Maricopa County GOP has over four THOUSAND openings for Precinct Committeemen and my Legislative District has only 32 per cent of its Precinct Committeeman positions filled. I am informed and believe that similar situations exist all across the country. Imagine if we could fill those openings with conservatives!
But that shock and dismay quickly changed into optimism – conservatives have a huge opportunity – NOW – to change the Party from within!
Most importantly, Precinct Committeeman get to vote in the Party elections that determine the leadership of the Party. Thus, the more conservatives who become Precinct Committeemen, the more conservative the Party becomes, and the more likely the candidates it puts forward will be conservatives. If conservatives flocked to fill the openings in the Precinct Committeeman ranks, the Party again – at the 2010 elections – might appear to the voters (especially the independents) to offer a clear choice from the Democrat Party, rather than an echo of it. And, therefore, might WIN elections. Remember, even with McCain, the spread between victory and defeat was only about two per cent of the electorate.
Is this strategy not worth the effort? Not worth a try? Are there enough of us who can find a few hours a month for this? Precinct Committeemen do have some duties, but they are not onerous. You will pay a relatively very small price, in time and effort, to get our country back to those Reagan years some of you may remember. Is your country worth it to you and your progeny? I was on active duty during the Carter years and the Reagan years – I saw first-hand what a difference a conservative Commander-in-Chief can make within the ranks. And of course what a difference Reagan made strategically – we won the Cold War! – and with respect to the economy and otherwise. Those were the days! Remember how the mainstream media was taken aback by the spontaneous outpouring of reverence and affection for President Reagan when he passed away.
Getting back to those few hours a month, some of the duties of the Precinct Committeeman are:
1. Registering new voters.
2. Helping local candidates build canvassing lists and canvassing the neighborhood.
3. Get Out The Vote efforts. Calling party members to make sure they can get to the polls or get an absentee ballot.
4. Finding election judges for your precinct.
5. Becoming a poll watcher.
A lot of this you can do with your kids. I have. It’s fun! One of my sons accompanied me to a Lincoln Day Luncheon last weekend. He got to see Rep. Jeff Flake and all the AZ Party big wigs and his dad pressure some of the big wigs with some hard, but polite, questions.
On doing some internet searching, I also found several copies and variations of this fantastic article by The Eagle Forum:

While the claim in the title might be a bit exaggerated, the article makes some very good points. If you want to make a difference in politics, the precinct is the place to start.
Each of you here want to get our country back on the right track. Please ask yourself again, “How BEST to do that?” And each of you have unique talents and capabilities that you employ. Keep at. But add to your repertoire. Please. Bottom line, WE NEED TO WIN AT THE BALLOT BOX. Our actions always should be directed at that goal. It’s a numbers game.
I have a bumper sticker on my car that says, “Better An Imperfect Republican Than A Perfect Socialist.” It makes a good point, and now I get a lot of thumbs up from passersby. But imagine if we had run a real Conservative Republican against Teleprompter Man-child. I’d be able to take my sticker off.
Again, to put things in perspective, the way to win elections is through DEEDS, not just words. Calling talk radio stations doesn’t really DO much. Twittering and ranting in chat rooms to the choir about what’s happening day-to-day doesn’t really DO much. The only reason I’m posting this here is in hopes YOU, who are reading this, will consider DOING SOMETHING MEANINGFUL to change your government back to its Constitutional limits. To DO that, in my humble opinion, we need to strengthen and change the Republican Party back to its Reagan Era strength.
How do WE do that? I believe the BEST way to strengthen and change the Republican Party into one that again clearly advocates conservative principles is to . . . drum roll . . . HAVE MORE PEOPLE IN ITS RANKS who accept, understand and advocate conservative principles. I’m not talking about just registering as a Republican, I’m talking about YOU, yes, YOU, who’s reading this, not “the other guy,” but YOU — becoming A REAL, ACTIVE MEMBER of the Republican Party by becoming a real, live, functioning Precinct Committeeman. That’s the bottom rung on the leadership ladder in the Party. And, the best part, as I’ve said, it’s fun! I’m relatively new to it, and loving it.
Again, and I can’t stress this enough and that’s why I’m repeating it (and I know some of you reading this know all this and already are precinct committeeman and I thank you for that), by becoming a Precinct Committeeman, you get to ACTUALLY VOTE for the Party leadership. YOU GET TO CAST A VOTE FOR YOUR LOCAL REPUBLICAN LEADERS UP TO THE COUNTY LEVEL, AND THEN GET TO ELECT ELECTORS WHO ELECT THE STATE AND NATIONAL PARTY LEADERS. If those who accept, understand and advocate conservative principles become a majority IN THE PARTY RANKS, guess what? The Party leadership voted in will be those who accept, understand and advocate conservative principles. This just happened here in Arizona.
Think about the fact that the outcome of the election of the Chairmanship of the Republican National Committee might have been different if more conservatives were in the Precinct Committeeman ranks. I know you all know this. Let’s change the outcome next time! (Indeed, I’ve come to learn after the fact that much of what I’m saying here now, and have said before, Ken Blackwell had said in his bid for the RNC Chairmanship.)
You might want to ask yourself this – when was the last time the Party solicited you to become a Precinct Committeeman? If the answer to that question is “never,” ask yourself why. Might have something to do with the “leadership” enjoying the status quo.
It’s not hard to find out how to become a Precinct Committeeman. If I can do it, anyone can. Do some googling to find your county Republican Party web site. For my fellow Maricopa County, Arizona folks, go here: http://www.maricopagop.org .
Find out which Legislative District you live in. Find out when the next meeting of that Legislative District Committee meets. If you can’t find it on the web, call your State party offices. Have them help you find your Legislative District staff members and then call them. Then go to the meeting and tell the chairman you want to volunteer to be a Precinct Committeeman. You’ll have to gather a few signatures to get on the ballot. Once the election comes around, you’ll be elected. Meanwhile, volunteer to DO SOMETHING in support of your conservative values and principles WITHIN THE PARTY. You will be leading by example. I can’t stress the following enough: many of the moderates in the Party are moderates simply because they don’t understand conservatism. They don’t know how to think, and be, “conservative.” But, you can help them. You can show them by your DEEDS. They will follow you if you set a good, logical example.
I want to send a signal to my Arizona Senators and Representatives. John McCain is up for re-election in 2010. Harry Mitchell, a Dem, my congressman, will be, too. I believe if thousands of conservatives called the Arizona Republican Party, each expressing a desire to join the party as a Precinct Committeeman, that information certainly would be passed on to John McCain. The John McCain who just voted for the clearly unconstitutional “mandatory voluntary service” legislation. Etc. Such activism within the Party might cause him to think NOW about how he ought to vote on pending legislation. Whereas phone calls and faxes to his office, and internet postings, and participation in Tea Parties might not really register with him while his staff fields my phone calls and faxes to his offices and my demand that he meet with me and tell me the Art. I, Section 8 Constitutional authority for much of the unconstitutional legislation he routinely “conservatively” votes for. But a real threat to his continuation in office might get his attention.
Which brings me to my last point. Would it not behoove the conservative movement to have someone from the podium at these upcoming April 15 Tea Parties to implore the attendees to take their energy one step further and volunteer to become Republican Party Precinct Committeemen? I was successful in getting that to a few weeks ago here in Arizona at a Tea Party sponsored by the Americans for Prosperity and I’m trying to make that happen at all of the upcoming Tea Parties on April 15. Can you help make that happen? Maybe make a phone call or two?
