One week after the Daily Mail revealed the nasty details of a child custody battle between former Trump surrogate A.J. Delgado and former Trump spokesman Jason Miller, the Trump SuperPAC America First fired Delgado for unknown reasons.
Scooplet: Former Trump aide @AJDelgado13 has been fired by the Trump Super PAC @AmericaFirstPAC for unknown reasons. Delgado has been mired in a custody battle with former Trump aide Jason Miller.

After the news broke, Delgado responded publicly via Twitter, implying that her firing was the result of her battle with Miller:
Curiously, less than a week after @jasonmillerindc posted a long statement defaming me. I received a sudden termination email today from Brian Walsh, who refused to provide any reason/rationale.This is my only income and I have a nine-month-old son. https://t.co/qPLwDxVgms

Miller and Delgado met while working for the Trump campaign in 2016 and started seeing each other in October 2016, according to Delgado.
After their affair became public in December 2016, Miller declined the position of White House Communications Director, while Delgado, who had joined the transition team, did not join the Trump administration as expected.
However, since then, Miller was hired by a consulting firm, became a paid CNN contributor, and now informally advises the White House. Delgado, on the other hand, was seemingly politically exiled. Her appearances on cable news and in print columns vanished, and her relationship with the Trump administration seems nonexistent.
Delgado has commented on the disparity in how she and Miller have been treated and has implied the difference is due to double standards. It’s hard to deny the punishment for her has been more harsh than it was for Miller.
Isnt it nice when a woman loses out on her earned White House job bc her unethical, married boss impregnated her… and same “man” still attacks/defames her a year later, so the single mother loses her only job/income? Thank you, Jason Miller! And thank you, @realDonaldTrump

Meanwhile, Miller continues to be employed at CNN and Teneo.
Bc… male.

Delgado also pointed out she joined the Trump team before Miller did. She went public with her support for Trump in October 2015, while Miller, who was Texas Senator and 2016 presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s senior communications advisor, joined the Trump campaign months later, at the end of June 2016, after Cruz dropped out of the race.
Reminder that this is the guy the media considers reflective of the Trump base, over me. I came out for Trump in Oct 2015, at much personal and professional risk. Even in April 2016, this was Miller, talking about the need to “unite to defeat @realDonaldTrump “ pic.twitter.com/YRbqCYxyA9

I was not a fan of Delgado during the 2016 election. As a #NeverTrump Republican, I disliked the man she chose to support in the election, and I thought she supported and defended inexcusable behavior. However, her situation raises serious questions about the way men and women are treated for sexual indiscretions.
Delgado still has all the same qualifications, education, and experience she had when she was thriving in the political sphere. One could argue she lost her position and influence because of her personal behavior — except Miller was the one who actually broke his marriage vows and had a child with someone not his wife, and they have both been engaging in the same nasty and public custody battle.
Yet Miller did not lose his influence with the Trump administration, nor did he lose his stature as a prominent media personality.
Meanwhile, Delgado also pointed out that Carl Higbie is still employed as director of advocacy at America First despite having made “racist, sexist, anti-Muslim and anti-gay remarks on the radio,” according to CNN.
This person is not fired.
But I was.
Great look, @AmericaFirstPAC ! https://t.co/Ctr42q0IEh

When all public information is taken into consideration — and considering the fact that Miller’s career appears to be thriving while Higbie is still employed by America First — it seems more than possible Delgado has a point and she has paid a higher price, and been held to stricter standards, because she is a woman.
