For those who have been watching the Nevada Republican Primary take place, one thing has become abundantly clear. Danny Tarkanian is the right candidate for Nevada republicans and conservatives, and he is the only Republican who can beat Harry Reid in November. Sue Lowden and Sharron Angle have spent the last couple weeks butchering one another on air and it has become clear that both of them would bring major liabilities if they were the Republican nominee in November. Lowden is the establishment candidate and has the highest negatives out of any republican in the race. Angle has been criticized as far to conservative for the state, but that is not the case. It’s not that she is too conservative, it is that she is too quirky and obscure to win in Nevada. Angle has discussed the need to legislate morality, including mentioning the abolition of legal alcohol use. She also has supported a bill that involved giving saunas and massages to prisoners as part of a drug rehabilitation program which was supported by The Church of Scientology. If it was just between Angle and Lowden, I’d still probably support Angle because she is the more authentic conservative, however it isn’t. The third person running is Danny Tarkanian and he is a very strong conservative candidate to carry the republican flag into November against Harry Reid. Tarkanian has all of Angle’s conservatism, without her strange background. He also has all of Lowden’s so called electability, along with being an anti-establishment conservative. Harry Reid will have unlimited funds to expend on this election and we only make him more likely to return to Washington if we nominate someone who won’t win in November.
Recent polls show Tarkanian in third but only five to seven points behind the leader. Tark can win this, if we support him. He is the John Thune of this cycle and will defeat Harry Reid. Let’s send a message to the establishment in both parties by electing a principled viable conservative in Danny Tarkanian.

With Lowden, this race returns to a tossup at best, unfortunately.

With no drinking age people could be taught how to drink responsibly and there would be no social stigma against young people drinking and hence no need to rebel against authority and engage in binge drinking.
That Sharron Angle is in favor of something like that is a deal breaker for me. We tried Prohibition, it failed miserably, I’m sure there are more important issues that she can worry about.

My ideal campus atmosphere would be like BYU or Bob Jones U, not some of these state schools that regularly rank in the top 5 for party schools. College is a time for learning and developing your faith, potentially learning some skills to get a job, and if you are lucky finding a spouse. The drinking and hookup culture today is completely immoral and needs to be banned.

Sharron Angle never introduced a bill for this prison program. She only asked the Legislators to take a trip to look at the program. The trip was funded by an outside person who happened to be a Scientologist. Sharron Angle has no connections to Scientology. Sharron Angle never said she wanted to ban alcohol. She only said she does not like anything like alcohol and drugs that cause people to become addicted. Now some facts about Sue Lowden. She supported Reid by giving donations to his campaign. She left the Republican party in Nevada broke when she was the Chairperson. She stole the votes of the delegates at our State Convention in 2008 when her hand-picked delegates to the National Convention weren’t going to get elected. She couldn’t win a second term as a State Senator. Danny Tarkanian has never won a general election. He made it through 2 primaries but can’t get elected. He has no experience. He also has supported Democrats by giving money to their campaign and he was endorsed by the Brady Campaign to control guns when he ran for Secretary of State. Don’t say Sharron Angle can’t beat Reid in November. She has been elected 4 times to the State Legislature.

But to your assertion that Angle can beat Reid. That very well may be the truth as Reid has angered so many. But as of a poll released in late March, Lowden beats Reid 42-39 Tarktanian beats Reid 42-41 but Angle is loosing to Reid 42-39. Reason, because she traps her jaw about nutty things from the alcohol to the saunas to banning all drugs for school children which are all Scientology tenants. She may go to a baptist church, claim she is baptist, may even be baptist, but she associates way to much with that cult. Conservative she is, but she is also a nut.
