Those “Cadillac” plans are not what Obama or the Dems think that they are. These are insurance plans whose premiums are well above what is more usual and customary, and who owns them?

The owners of these “Cadillac” plans turn out to generally be the elderly who have medical problems, and are paying for their own insurance. They have pre-existing conditions, they are not eligible generally under the usual run-of-the-mill group plans, so they have to purchase them on their own. Such things are costly, but these folks prefer paying those premiums vs. having to impoverish themselves in order to qualify for Medicare or Medicade.

Tax these plans?? Lovely. Hey, Obama, let’s drive these people out of their chosen insurances. Let’s add to the ranks of the uninsured. Let’s make another lie about how Obama-care lets folks keep their current insurance.

Let’s talk about “acting stupid.”

It would be nice if Obama and his enablers actually learned what they are talking about before shooting off about something. What a fool.

I’m having trouble wrapping my head around the comments. If the complaint is against ‘Cadillac’ health care, does this mean that those Lucky Unstiffs (Lucky Stiffs == dead?) are stealing health care from somebody?

Naah, this is just envy. You have too much health care, we have to draw you back to the pack! Remember, that in places like GB, as I recall, you aren’t allowed to buy additional health care.

I remember a book a few years back by Ron Sider, “Rich Christians in an age of hunger”. Such a dope that an effective rebuttal was soon published by Dave Chilton, “Productive Christians in an age of guilt manipulators”. This fits right in there.
