1st Republican declares his candidacy for CT Senate

His name is Brian K. Hill. He’s an attorney and small business owner and pretty new to politics, somewhat, He ran as an independent write in candidate and got 559 votes.  Otherwise cant tell much from this guy but I would suggest keeping an eye on him, follow his facebook and twitter and find out more about him.

Draft CeCe Heil for US Senate from Tennessee

Tea Partiers did a pretty decent job in 2010 in defeating Lisa Murkowsk, Bob Bennett, and Charlie Crist, Mike Castle but their job is not done, come 2012, Corker must be primaried.

I dont know what other people have in mind, and I dont know whos paying attention but this is the most critical election in our time, There are time and places for a primary election and now is the time and TN is definately the place to add more Conservatives, and/or back up to DeMint so heres who I have in mind.

Im not sure if Marsha Blackburn would consider mulling a senatorial primary against Corker but if there is one woman I believe that can beat Corker is CeCe Heil

From her website:

CeCe Heil, a Nashville entertainment attorney and strict constructionist, is dedicated to restoring the sanctity of the Constitution and keeping the rogue Federal Government in check. Having practiced law for almost 20 years, she is no stranger to public policy. The daughter of a former state Senator and former Judge, Heil knows first-hand the importance of electing true conservative leaders at every level of government. Having engaged predominantly in the Federal practice of law she is very well versed in Federal legislation and is a Constitutional Law scholar. She is a supporter of small business as an owner of Resonate Records, Sonicflood, Inc., Sonicflood Production Company, Heil Music and her own law firm. She is married to Rick Heil and they have two children”

You can read her what she stands for here.

She’s from Nashville, she has political connection, owns a small business with her husband, she for some reason reminds me of Leigh Ann Touhy (from The Blind Side). And by the way, she was endorsed by Sarah Palin when she ran for congress in 2010 so that should give some credibility.  But most importantly I believe CeCe will give Corker a run for his money.  Remember what Corker did here.

Elections Have Consequences pt. 4

This is my last post of the “Election Have Consequences” series.  If you would like to read my other posts they are right here: part 1, part 2, part 3.

In part 3 I wrote about republican senate seats up for re-election in 2012, now were going to look at the democrat senate seats up for re-election in 2012; there are 23 democrat seats up (including 2 independents).  Im going ahead and tell you right now, Im skipping VT, RI, DE, MD, WV, MN, WA, & CA,  These states (I believe) will re-elect their democrat senators no matter what we do or what the poll says.

Well start with the Open Seats:

CT: Joe Lieberman opted to retire thus opening up the conneticut seat for the second time since Chris Dodd decided to retire.  Democrats are already in a competitive primary that includes the secretary of state Susan Bysiewizc (whom i believe might have stolen the gubernatorial election from Tom Foley in 2010) and Congressman Chris Murphy (dont know, dont care).  No repubicans have thrown their hat into the ring yet but rumors have it that former WWE businesswoman and 2010 nominee Linda McMahon may try another run…oy.  Look Im not going to recommend anybody because I dont know much in CT anymore, but I know for a fact that Linda will not get that Ind (Dem) seat for Republicans.  She lost to the biggest moron of an Att. Gen. in the strongest republican year, how will she compete in 2012 when BO is at the top of the ticket.

HA: Daniel Akaka decided to retire, another democrat packed primary is going on and another fieldless Repubican primary.  Believe it or not I do believe we can win this seat and the candidate I have in mind is Charles Djou.  Everybody is waiting for fmr. Rep. Gov. Linda Lingle but that’s like waiting for Sarah Palin to make up her mind regarding a presidential run.  Djou has already been to congress, even though hes only been there for a few short months but I know he has a good record when he was in congress.  The democrats keep promoting the same people to all kinds of office but Djou technically is still a fresh face. Just look him up and think about it, it will be sweet victory if we can win a senate seat in Barack’s Home town on the same night conservatives win the presidency.

NM: Jeff Bingaman opted retirement again opening up the seat, dont bother whos in the democratic field, pay attention to the repubican side.  Theres a candidate conservatives must stop from getting the nomination, in fact, Erickson made it a top priority, Heather Wilson.  She’ll essentially be the long lost sister of the “Maine Twins,” Lucky for conservatives they have LT. Gov. John Sanchez

ND: Another North Dakota democrat senator decided to retire thus opening up the seat.  This seat should be a really easy one to pick up for conservatives, especially when democrats have not fielded a candidate yet, but the republicans on the other hand have a very strong bench but only one so far decided to enter, Rick Berg, current freshman congressman only in office for a couple of months and now wants a promotion…what?   Im leaning towards the treasurer by the name of Kelly Schmidt, but if anybody from ND that knows the politics up there better than me please go ahead and chime in.

VA: Ann Coulter’s favorite democrat opted retirement after 1 term.  Republicans have an opportunity to pick up this seat…or so I believe.  It is now being predicted that this is going to be the most expensive, most closely watched senate race in 2012, why? because its pretty much a done deal that were going to have a battle of the “Macaca’s” between fmr. dem. gov. Tim “Obama’s Best Friend” Kaine and fmr. rep. gov./sen. George “republicans cant do better than recruit a 2006 senate loser” Allen.  conservatives, if your looking for an alternative, look no further than Jamie Radtke.

WI: Herb Kohl was kind of a surprise, everyone though he was preparing for another run but no, he decided to retire.  so far nobody is in the race…yet.  In 2010 an unknown republican defeated one of the most progressive liberal senator in the Senate.  Repubicans can do the same and pick up another seat.  Adam Brickley over at catchthedogs.com recomends Andre Jacque.  well see.

Vulnerable Democrats:

FL: One of the two B. Nelson is up for relection in Florida and the republican field is starting to pack.  Let me just make it easy, Adam Hasner is the conservative choice in the race. fmr. Crist’s appointee LeMieux is the establishment choice, obviously, and Haridapolos is..well..looks like a used car salesman. sorry, he does not impress me.

MI: It looks like as if Debbie Stabenow is in great shape for re-election but thats not true, on the contrary, she really is vulnerable, the problem is only few non-well known candidate have stepped up to the plate.  Look in the link on MI and see for yourself.

MO: Claire McKaskill is extremely vulnerable and conservatives have a chance to defeat her and pick up a senate seat next year, two candidate have emerged, Sarah Steelman and Todd Akin. read and choose.

MT: John Tester is up for re-election and vulnerable, the question is, is Denny Rehberg really the guy that can unseat Tester? I guess well find out no?

NE: The second of the two B. Nelson is up for re-election and is extremely vulnerable, we have an easy chance to pick up this seat, but, we may have a republican scuffle behind-the-scenes. NE Attorney General Jon Bruning said some things about conservatives in his early years that just leaves your mouth wide open :o so people are not sure if they can trust him. NE Treasurer Don Stenberg on the other hand I heard he’s a good conservative but the problem is that he likes to run for ALL kinds of office.  If thats the case then im just going to wait for state Sen. Deb Fischer to announce if she wants to run for senate.

NJ: Ill bet some of you read the acronym and thought really? NJ? and to those I say yes. Bob Menendez is vulnerable but its going to be alittle hard and quite tricky.  The buzz that’s going on around in NJGOP is that John Crowley is contemplating on running for senate on the republican ticket.  For once, I agree. read about him on the link provided on his name, you will be amazed, and hes only 44!

NY: Yes believe it or not, even Kirsten Gillibrand is vulnerable, but is up to the conservatives AND the republicans to come together and find a nominee that both the establishment and the grassroots could get behind.  I dont know who can be the best candidate but we can win NY senate seat.

OH: Ohio recently went through a transformative election from a almost dominated democrat state to an all out Republican state.  Sherrod Brown is vulnerable.  The are already candidates in the republican field including fmr. state sen. Kevin Coughlin who I believe is a good conservative.  but there are still candidates who have not announced their intentions yet such as Erick Erickson’s pick Josh Mandel and grassroots favorite fmr. secretary of state Ken Blackwell who btw led in another poll today by PPP.  Its already a known fact that if a republican wants to win the presidency, (s)he needs to win Ohio, by repubicans nominating a very good candidate for senate in ohio, repubicans can have a much better chance of taking back ohio from Obama.

PA: and finally, Bob Casey Jr., the 3D one, not the 2D cartboard cutout, is up for re-election, he’s the one that beat Rick Santorum (now running for president) in 2006 by the biggest margin in that election. but 2012 is a whole different story and we need to find a good candidate, and FAST! otherwise we can kiss his butt for congratulations before he seats again for another 6 years.

Thank You for taking the time in reading my post, this is the first time I ever done this but I felt it was essential that somebody provide information about whats going on in the political world and that conservatives should not turn a blind eye or get complacent everytime a new election roll around.  We cannot afford to lose either in 2011 or 2012, every election matters, from as high as the Presidency to your governor, senator, representative, and local legislative body.  BTW some of us dont have a high profile race this year or in 2012 (like me living in Alabama) but im still going to contribute to conservative candidates all across the country, help them out however I can and I hope some of you who also live in states that dont have any high profile race can too contribute outside your state. Remember what Obama said “Elections Have Consequences” and if he or any other democrats win…he can also have the right to say “I Won.”

Elections Have Consequences pt. 3

Before I start part 3,  I want to thank everybody, especially the administrator for recommending my part 1 and part 2 posts.  We are in the beginning of a very crucial election season and in these day and age all elections matter, because elections have consequences,  and we all learned that the hard way.

For part 3 were now in the important part of the 2012 election, the Senate.  The make up is 53 Democrats (independents included) and 47 Republicans, that means if republicans want a plurality or simple majority they have to pick up 4 senate seats…WITHOUT LOSING ONE (that also includes Scott Brown and Olympia Snowe who are up for re-election) otherwise we will have to net ourselves a couple more seats for every one we lose.

I’ll start with the republicans up for re-election next year, 10 republican seat are up for re-election, 2 of them are open, and 4 of them need to be replaced with a more conservative alternative.

Open:

TX: Kay Baily Hutchinson has decided to fork over her seat (finally) but its not all good and dandy yet, there’s a big packed primary with candidates that includes conservative superstars Ted Cruz and Michael Williams, but it also include the former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and possibly may add one more, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst.  Ladies and gentlemen, at no point whatsoever can we allow Leppert or (as Erickson likes to call him) DewCrist can be the Republican nominee in Texas, if they are elected senator from texas you are adding backup to Mitch McConnells cadre of lapdogs in the establishment.

AZ: Now at first I was kind of skeptical of Jeff Flake, his immigration votes is horrible, BUT, he is a fiscal hawk (and to be honest I was hoping for someone like Pamela Gorman or Ruth McClung to enter the race, These gals are amazing) and ever since Flake jumped into the race, he’s had a great fundraising overhaul, Club for Growth endorsed Flake and so did Erick Erickson, The Democrats havent fielded a candidate so pretty much Jeff Flake has the field to himself, but remember dont get complacent.

Primaring Wobbly Repubicans, Reinforcing Jim DeMint:

TN:  As Erick Erickson wrote in a post not to long ago, conservatives needs to start getting together NOW and find somebody that can beat Bob Corker in TN.  This guy is terrible, remember why we sided with Rand Paul in KY? because the other guy was going to be Mitch’s lap dog, that’s essentially what Corker is.  There has to be a more conservative challenger in TN, someone like Marsha Blackburn, or anybody, this is a priority.

MS: Here’s another guy conservatives need to primary, Roger Wicker, he’s another wobbly republican lapdog.  If I were recruiting someone, I would look for a accomplished woman, because otherwise its ging to be hard to beat him in the primary.  Why woman? because the Magnolia state has a horrible record in electing women to any statewide or federal office.  If not, then how about Bill Marcy, he ran against Bennie Thompson in MS 2nd congressional disctrict, Sarah Palin endorsed him, and he got 61,202 or 37.3% of the votes in 2010.  Dont shoot the messenger, just trying to help brainstorm potential candidates against wobbly republicans.

UT: Orrin Hatch is up for re-election, and he wants to stay as a senator SO BAD he’s now pandering to the tea partiers, question is, do you buy it? or do you believe its time to send fresh face in the senate? potential replacement…Jason Chaffetz.

IN: Last but least, Lugar definately needs to go and I believe the man that can do that is Richard Mourdock, check him out.

LEAVE THEM ALONE!

ME: Sorry I had to go cris croker on you but there is some fight for another time, we just have to be patience.  The “Maine Twins” are going to do what the want to do.  I know conservatives want to primary Olympia Snowe who’s up for re-election next year, Let me ask you this, if Snowe is defeated in the primary by a more conservative challenger, are you going to take responsibility if the conservative challenger loses in the general? I recall the Christine O’Donnell situation, yes Im glad she beat Mike Castle, but she still lost the general are remember what i said at the top, if we lose snowe’s seat to a democrat well have to pick up another to counter that loss.

MA: Regarding Scott Brown, read ME again, if Massachussetts and Maine independents wants a democrat, let them kick Brown and Snowe out of office, conservatives should save their resources for other fights.

NV: Nevada republicans are going down in shambles thanks to revelations from the ensign fallout, we cannot afford to lose this republican seat to Harry Reid’s poodle.  So leave Dean Heller alone.

WY: John Barrasso is good guy, he fights for conservatives.

That would be it, on my last post im going to talk about the Democrats up for re-election.  I hope some of you pick your fight wisely, there are alot of wobbly republicans but some are worth more than others.

Elections Have Consequences pt. 2

On my last post I talked about gubernatorial and legislative elections that are going to happen on November 8th, 2011.  We have to beat the democrats wherever the election, however we can because again, “Elections have Consequences.”

On this post Im going to talk about the 2012 Gubernatorial elections.  There are 11 governors up for election but im only going to talk about the one most necessary.  Im skipping WA, VT, NH, DE because I believe the democrats are going to win them anyway no point trying to waste resource for nothing.  Im also skipping UT & ND, figures they will remain safe Republican either way.

We’ll start with MT where the incumbent democrat Brian Schweitzer is term limited.  According to a poll I saw (sorry cant remember which) it showed that according to a match-up between a generic Republican and a generic Democrat, Rep. leads Dem. 49-39, that means we have a pick up opportunity, question is who can we rally behind to make that a possibility, well there is a big Republican primary field that includes Fmr. Congressman Rick Hill and National Security Analist Neil Livingstone, but the candidate that most caught my attention is Corey Stapleton, he’s sort of like a Generation X version of Newt Gingrich from Montana, read his biography in the link provided above and see for yourself.  so far only one democrat declared but not a big name type so here’s your opportunity to contribute.

IN: Two words, Mike Pence, need I really say more ;)

MO: This one is going to be tough especially during a Presidential year but I believe we can pull it off, incumbent democrat Governor Jay Nixon is up for re-election, from my understanding is people generally dont like Nixon, but, If no viable republican shows up to challenge him Missourians will have no other choice but to send him back to the governors mansion.  I think everybody is waiting for Lt. Gov. Pete Kinder to jump in but I also been hearing that he’s been having problem.  We can win this but its going to be a little hard.

NC: Incumbent Democrat Beverly Perdue should be as good as gone, I’ve not seen any good polls come out of that state for her, to make matters worse, the democrats are having their convention in Charlotte and it should remind N. Carolinians why they should not vote for democrats this time.  Question is if Pat McCrory (R), the former mayor of Charlotte(!) will run again against Perdue.  This one should be an easy pick up.

I give you options, Victory or Defeat, therefore, choose Victory! Ill come back for part 3, this time well talk about next year’s Senate election.

Elections Have Consequences pt. 1

President Obama could not have said truer words.  2010 was a great victory for Conservatives, not republicans (they only won the numbers game, remember that) and we could not have been much happier with the results thanks largely due to the fact we wont have heart burns everytime say Mike Castle or Charlie Crist vote with the democrats, and we can do the same in 2011 and 2012.

I know everybody is paying attention to the Presidential election next year, but that’s not the only election going on right now, I want to write about a couple of important elections in not just 2012 but also in 2011, I want to post it in different parts so that people can understand it better and makes writing and reading the post a whole lot shorter.

Just recently the republicans lost a safe seat to a liberal democrat in NY-26, democrats are already using NY-26 to boost morale for their bots and will take that small victory to the November election in 2011.

There are still elections that matters in 2011 and if we lose any of them, there is going to be consequence.

First on October 4th theres a special gubernatorial election in West Virginia. Acting Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin won the democrat nomination. Republican Bill Maloney  won the party’s nomination, he is a first time candidate, businessman,  and outsider. You may remember him as the guy that was involved in Plan B rescue attempt during the 2010 chilean mine disaster.  He could probably use some help with name recognition in WV.

Secondly, on November 8th, Kentucky, Lousiana, and Mississippi will have their gubernatorial elections.

MS:  Haley Barbour is term-limited (and not running for President) and the next guy that looks like he may get the nomination is frontrunner Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant, but there are still others running in the primary, mostly businessmen.  But still check them out in the link on MS,  if your the kind of person that’s still tired of the republicans next-in-line.

LA: Bobby Jindal is up for re-election (and also not running for president) and something tells me he’s not going to have to much trouble.  Democrats havent fielded a candidate but it doesnt mean hes safe. DONT EVER GET COMPLACENT.

KY: Steve Beshear is the incumbert Democrat governor up for re-election, newly minted Republican nominee David Williams is running an up-hill battle in KY to be the next governor, its really hard to get a republican governor in KY but with the economy going down and if Williams plays it right and gets help from us, he can get a chance. [UPDATE: Robert Stacy McCain has more on the Kentucky gubernatorial race here]

Last but not least, Remember when Republicans won the gubernatorial elections in NJ and VA, that was sweet, but there was still one problem…the legislature was still under democrats control.  In NJ democrats control both houses, but if you can imagine Chris Christie doing good now with democratic control what can he do for NJ if he were to get even 1 house.  Same goes for Bob McDonnell, Republicans control the house but their 4 senate members short of a majority in the senate, maybe a little tea party action could help make up the deficit.

Thats whats going on in 2011 and if you want to keep your morale and practice activism, the above mentioned states should do the trick before the big fight in 2012. Ill come back with a part 2 on gubernatorial elections in 2012 which is JUST as important as the Presidential.
