from your browser's address bar (including the http://) that's usually all you need to do. I usually write a diary in html, that is, on my account settings page I uncheck the box that says "use visual editor".

This past week, contributor bs wrote <a href="http://www.redstate.com/bs/2009/11/19/the-redstate-how-to/">this diary</a> to help new people get started. Keep in mind when writing in HTML there is a link button you can use to create hyperlinks in diaries like the one I just did. MAKE SURE you leave the http:// in the dropdown box highlighted so when you paste in your link only one Http:// will be present. You create the hyperlink by highlighting the text you want to use, click link, then the previous step.

Good Luck!

My apologies. I am new to the world of link-making. Any hints from a pro?
