One thing is clear. The person who does not *get* cap-n-steal is not Sarah Palin.
That Andrew Sullivan has a raging obsession with Palin is not exactly news. The Atlantic’s ‘pet conservative’ was the chief troofer pushing the Trig’s-mom-is-actually-Bristol fantasy. Weeks were not enough, he had to go months with that one. Because, well, it was such an important matter, dwarfing those trifles like Obama’s Marxism, ACORN’s theft of elections, Porkulus, Chrysler being stolen from creditors and given to the UAW, Government Motors, and the upcoming Porkulus 2 and Government Health.
Nah. Must talk about Sarah. Must destroy Sarah.
So, it’s no surprise that when Palin posted an OpEd in the Washington Compost, A ‘Cap and Tax’ Deadend, he responded the same morning with Sarah Palin Does Not Understand Cap and Trade.
I won’t conduct a full vivisection, since I frankly don’t find wonderboy all that interesting or significant. But just one example. Sullivan castigates Palin for (among other things) concluding that after driving up the price of everything with higher taxes, “the Americans hit hardest will be those already struggling to make ends meet.” He responds by saying that cap-n-crap actually “creates revenue, which can be used to mitigate the costs for consumers.”
Yeah, Andrew. That’s been the effect of every tax hike ever. Right?
