Not looking good for Franken.


As pretty much the entire panel of folks in the clip below agree:

…seating him at this point is going to go against President-Elect Obama’s carefully-constructed narrative. It might even be embarrassing – and we can’t have that, can we?

Besides, at this point the only people who’d have their noses out of joint from a Franken loss would be progressives still upset that Coleman occupies Wellstone’s old Senate seat. And since when did they matter?

With Chambliss winning

Won’t the Dems will be WAY less likely to fight this one out? If they steal this seat, the remaining 41 Republicans will be so mad that it will easier to unite them for filibusters than it would be with the current 42. Fighting for Franken seems to be lots of risk for very little reward.

Now if they had won GA it might be a different story. But why does Obama need 60 Ds anyway, since he claimed he’s such an expert at reaching across the aisle?
