As has been said by others, Beck does this himself on a regular basis... from the transcripts of his radio show the next day, Beck seemed to more or less shrug it off. That being said, I can definitely see this as being a sort of a diversionary tactic for them... one of those things where they can say "see, we get both sides!", when, in reality, they more parodied the concept of Beck rather than making fun of him directly (as they did with, say, Al Gore, Rob Reiner, and others). …but at the very least, it’s not so much an “attack” as it is a bit of poking fun at Beck’s image.
