If the GOP agreed to this ploy they would have been setting themselves up as the obstructionists, the party of NO, the party with no ideas, and, Obama would have insured that he and his Teleprompter portrayed just that to the TV public. They were never allowed into any meetings, debates, buy- offs or anything else that had to do with Obamacare. Now that the legislation has been taken off of life support, he needs someone to blame, and the Republicans were the target.
Obamacare is still dead, just like Michael Jackson.
