Miss Me Yet?

The American people have answered. Apparently, close to half are awake now.

President George W. Bush

Clearly, the bloom is off the rose.

Americans are divided over whether President Barack Obama or his predecessor has performed better in the White House, according to a new national poll.

And a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday also indicates in the battle for Congress, Republicans hold large advantages over the Democrats among independents, men and blue-collar whites. The poll also indicates that Republicans are much more enthusiastic than Democrats to vote.

By 47 to 45 percent, Americans say Obama is a better president than George W. Bush. But that two point margin is down from a 23 point advantage one year ago.

“Democrats may want to think twice about bringing up former President George W. Bush’s name while campaigning this year,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

But, there is some good news for Democrats.

“There are plenty of people who support the Democratic candidate, but many of them are probably not going to actually cast a ballot. In fact, if you look at “unlikely voters” – people who are registered to vote but unlikely to cast a ballot – the Democrats have a six-point edge on the generic ballot question.”

I didn’t say it was really good news…

Interestingly enough, I while fighting for him....

JadedByPolitics (Diary) Saturday, October 9th at 5:23AM EST (link)

used to be angry at him, for not fighting for himself and it appears that what I miss most is a President who is actually the President of the United States of America! George Bush actually governed for everyone and not just the Red States! and that in hindsight was a most kind and enduring quality for a President!

he was a big government conservative

he thought government could make people’s lives better. I disagree with his view, but that was my only problem with his presidency. He is a very honorable man who history will treat kindly. He stood strongly against America’s enemies and never backed down.

The anti-Americans, here and abroad reviled him. Yet they could not stop him. Their one success was in exposing how vile THEY were.

Just asking

Why did Bush push for amnesty for illegal aliens in 2006 and 2007?
Why did Bush never secure the border?
Why did over 5 million illegal aliens come into America from 2001-2009?
Why did Bush support a bill that would have allowed 5 million immigrants/yr?
Why did Bush nominate Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court?
Why did Bush run on No Child Left Behind?
Why did Bush give $50 billion to Africa for AIDS?
Why did Bush increase funding for UNESCO?
Why did Bush appoint Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General?
Is democracy a ‘fundamental American value’?
Why does it matter if Iraq has democracy?
What is most fundamental to America- democracy, Christianity, capitalism?
Does it ruin a democracy if there is slavery?
Since England abolished the power of the House of Lords has freedom increased or decreased for that country?
Why is it ok to force a political system but not a religion on a country?
If John Smith or Governor Bradford could have seen modern America back in the 1600s, would they still have set up the colonies?
If George Washington or Thomas Jefferson could have seen modern America
back in 1776, would there have been a Declaration of Independence?

I would recommed asking a doctor for a lithium rx.

In response...

to the last two questions: Yes. Because they were following God’s vision of Life and Liberty.

Regarding the rest of your rant: I can only assume that you’re the product of failed government schools.

“Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so.” – Ronald Reagan

Because he was a "compassionate" Conservative....

JadedByPolitics (Diary) Saturday, October 9th at 6:40PM EST (link)

I don’t agree with that line of thinking but it was his reasoning and I will not fault him for that, even though I HATED IT! At the very least he cared about “people” this President and his leftest tools care about CONTROLLING the people…………..MAJOR difference!

Bush at Rangers game

SteveLA (Diary) Saturday, October 9th at 6:44PM EST (link)

TBS had a shot of President Bush at today’s Ranger’s game. He looked relaxed and was fiddling with one of those darn smart phones.
