A majority of the American people will oppose this bill if they get the message. The only way that is going to happen is if we see our representatives get up screaming about the damage this will do to our economy and the massive new energy costs. During a recession. Right after the coldest winter in decades. I hope to see energy and passion on the level of Ted Stevens when he was threatening to die on the Senate floor before he would let anyone take his earmarks away.

The title of this article speaks for itself.

The Obamanista regime is going to do all it can possibly to to force a carbon "tax" on the voters of the United States. It is all part and parcel of the "Global Warming Hoax" being perpetuated on an uninformed and ignorant populace, especially the under 30 crowd, who have been dumbed down in the government sponsored indoctrination centers commonly known as "public" schools.

The propaganda machine, aka, the Environmental Protection Agency, is being used to circumvent Congress in an attempt to force compliance and raise taxes without the will of the people being represented.

Resist Now!!!

Can the environmentalists please stop breathing then?

Seriously, other than the ones who are convinced man is ruing the planet leaving it, what can we do to stop this? Petitions? What?

WASHINGTON (Associated Press) -- The chief sponsor of a bill that would limit greenhouse gases says his proposal to tackle climate change would spur clean energy development and won't be a drag on the economy.

Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said Wednesday claims by critics that controlling greenhouse gases will undermine the economy ignore the financial benefits of shifting to cleaner energy that does not contribute to global warming.

Waxman, opening a hearing on climate legislation, said critics argue that there is a fundamental conflict between economic growth and clean energy. But he said "that is a false choice" and that the nation's economic future and clean energy _ in his words _ "are inextricably intertwined." Waxman's bill would cut emissions by 80 percent.

I've posted here numerous times, as a geologist, who has the background and skills to actually give a intelligent, rational analysis of the subject, that "global warming" is a hoax perpetuated by Al Gore and his minions (what, science, exactly, did Al Bore major in? His scientific experience is what? All I can hear is crickets chirping...) to destroy the U.S. as an economic and industrial leader in the world. To punish those who produce, and tax the rest of us. We have absolutely, positively, GOT to stop this! Well over 31,000 scientists from the U.S. alone have signed a petition stating they do not believe in man-made climate change (warming, cooling, it's all the same.) How arrogant to think that man's actions over the past 200 years have actually affected climate on earth - when the climate has been cycling between ice ages and warming periods for millions of years, and carbon dioxide - which now your government environmental watchdog, the EPA, has declared is dangerous to human health)

If you are a scientist (BS, MS, PhD in any scientific field) and have not signed the petition, please go to http://www.petitionproject.org/
and print a copy of the petition to sign and send in.

And write your senator, your representative, and anyone else you have access to (you can send emails to all 41 GOP senators) and tell them this MUST be defeated. You know that tax cut thingy that Obama promised the 95% of Americans? This one item alone totally wipes that out! Aren't the Dems fair and compassionate people? NOT...

Congressional Republicans need to brand the Dems as the Party of High Energy Prices at every opportunity.

High energy prices are the keystone of the Democratic strategy. Without massive government support, wind & solar are going no where.

As for anyone who is crusading against greenhouse gases, if the next words out of their mouth do not include "nuclear energy", they should not be taken seriously.
