Michael Nutter, and our REAL problem.

When we ask for honest discussion about current events from our leaders, lately we receive gibberish, rear-end kissing, English sentence fabrication, and a slew of redundant words that mean nothing to us. Some of us accept this as the status-norm, because we’ve “heard it all before”.

But how many of us have heard this. On Sunday, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, stood before a pulpit at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, and proceeded to deliver a 25 minute tirade against the “flash mobs” that have erupted in his city. The “Flash Mobs” he describes are not the mobs of people that meet at a predetermined time, in a shopping mall, or open park, to dance to music; these Mobs are gangs of youths, as young as 11, who roam the city looking for someone to beat up, and rob.

The news we receive from England, and the chaos that has engulfed multiple cities over there, is, I believe, the reason why Mayor Nutter gave this speech.

I’m only posting this, because I believe this type of wording(the TRUTH) needs to be told. I have yet to study this man’s political leanings, as well as his voting conscience, but, by what this speech entails, I really can’t hold anything against him at this moment.

One thing that stood out, is the first paragraph. President Obama waited until the END of his 200 point DOW dropping speech to mention those brave SEALS, that died serving their country.

The Ceiling, Borrowing, Spending, and Megadeth.

I don’t post very much here, because alot of people here, are MUCH more intuned, informed, and well orchestrated in blogging than I am. This website has given me more power as a conservative, than any site on the Net. The names that proliferate here, are instrumental in my, as well as OUR fight against this governmental behemoth.

I use Megadeth in my title, because they released a song in 1993, called the “Symphony Of Destruction”. Megadeth is a heavy metal band that was popular in the 1980′s and 1990′s. The song entails electing a human into power, and asking him to do what’s required. It uses alliterations of the “Pied Piper”, and how the populace follows him into oblivion.

Such as we’ve witnessed these last 3 years. Some of us elected a person, with no experience in ANY type of job, whatsoever, and made him the leader of the Free World.  Blame can be thrown around from everywhere, but this is the situation we are in. We’ve found out, as a nation, that our path is no longer viable. We cannot continue in the way we have been, without SERIOUS change.

Not the “change” we we’re guaranteed in 2008, which is the change we have witnessed, but the wholesale change we need, to throttle ourselves back from the abyss, and restore the “full faith, and credit of the United States”.

I bring up Megadeth, because at the end of the song, they describe the Earth rumbling, world powers falling, and a “peaceful man”, who “stands tall”. Standing tall means not bowing to ANYTHING. Our debt ceiling is the limit of our borrowing, and we should accept it. Families are rejected every single day, for loan applications, because they don’t have any way to pay. So why can our government decide how much THEY can pay? Do our creditors really believe that we can constantly raise our borrowing limit with no remorse? When do other countries around the world stop lending us money? They won’t. And we won’t stop them from doing so.

It’s time someone “stands tall”. Possibly someone who has nothing to lose? We watch as Congress critters receive their just due for serving their country(inexorbitant pay, benefits) and we say nothing. Where is the person who says everything? The person who will go down in flames? The person who may be on the chopping block in the next General Election, who says, “I don’t care”? Someone who exposes everything that’s insidious about our government? Obama said it himself. He’ll sink his Presidency, before caving, but he won’t, as Erick mentioned a few days ago. Congress won’t be blamed. Obama will. This is the “Chink in the Armor”, a GREAT diary by RealQuiet, that exposes what Republicans have been looking for, since he was elected.

It’s time for someone in Congress to decide to be the “voice”. Someone who will stand up, and say, “NO MORE”. Can we expect this? Can we accept the truth? Will we listen to ANYONE, who lays it all out, so we have a factual basis to attack this problem that we have?

We have a spending problem. We have an entitlement problem. We DO NOT have a revenue problem. And as long as the Democrats keep telling us that we need more money, we will still have the same problems, and they will not be fixed.

Thank you, Redstate for my continuing conservative education.

Sheriff Joe does it again.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio has done it again.

He arrested three of his own, a deputy sheriff, and two county detention officers in a county raid that netted 16 people.

Among the charges are: assisting in a criminal syndicate, illegal control of an enterprise, human smuggling drug trafficking, and money laundering.

The operation netted $200,000 in cash, seven weapons, 10 POUNDS of heroin, and seven vehicles.

“Today’s arrests hit closer to home”, he was quoted as saying.

“The fight against drugs, illegal immigration, and human trafficking is important, not only to me, but to the citizens of Arizona. That a deputy Sheriff would provide information to, and collude with these drug and human traffickers is despicable”.

The law is the law. Thank you, Sheriff Joe, for reminding us of that. Even if our enemy is in our midst.

Stephen King, and the horror of electricity.

Stephen King has written over 1400 books, and has over 50 movies, made out of his books. His penchant for horror, is almost unmatched. But when he takes on the “real world”, something goes awry. Mr King lives approximately a 20 minute drive from me, on Casey Key, a barrier island off of the west coast of Florida. He was seen in downtown Sarasota, “filling up” his brand new Chevy Volt. He made a statement saying, “I just love it, because everytime you do it, it is like you’re saying to the oil cartel, “Here, stick this in your eye.’” ”It’s like a license to steal.” Really.

Does Mr King not know where the electricity comes from to fill his precious car? Does he really think that when he’s “sticking Big Oil in the eye”, that he’s getting away scot-free? Should Mr King be stealing?

For a man, who makes us cringe with every turn of the page, who made us reexamine our love for clowns, dogs, cars(Christine is my favorite), red-headed women, and houses, do we have to fear the onslaught of electric vehicles too?

And what of the men, and women, of Congress, who don’t even write novels, and scare us enough?

My apologies for the hackneyed appearance of this diary. It’s my first one, and I hope to be able to do the cool, line-thru text, and highlight text, like my favorite posters here do. Thank you, Redstate, and ALL posters, for my continuing conservative education.
