Breaking: US Senator Kirk Has Had A Stroke

US Senator Mark Kirk of Illinois has had a stroke and is undergoing surgery today to undergo swelling around his brain.

Our thoughts are with the Senator and his family at this time. More info to come

Update: “Dr. Richard Fessler, a neurosurgeon at Northwestern Memorial, said the senator suffered a stroke” to the right side of his brain. What that means is it will affect his ability to move his left arm and possibly his left leg.” The surgery has been deemed a success.  The Senator is only 52 and is in his first term in US Senate after serving several in US House and is member of US Navy.

Sen. Kirk isn’t particularly old, so this is both surprising and very sad.

I’m hoping he makes a full recovery.

problems stemming from the event, however, one source said that he will probably have some irreversible mobility problems on the left side and possible partial facial paralysis.

This is terrible and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody, not EVEN 0bama.

My prayers go out to Sen Kirk and his family. I am hoping and praying for the best possible recovery.

In the beginning, God created earth to be an extension of his vast Kingdom and his LOVE was so great that he wanted to share it with man, whom he created in his own image and likeness and gave him free will.
To this very principal, the Founding Fathers of our nation decreed that freedom is a God-given in-alienable right of all the people.

The money quote is at 54 seconds in. “Kirk’s job is cerebral and I believe that the functions that he requires to do his job are going to be fine.”
