Despite the now two years of speculation over which Democrats would run for president in 2020, few actually dared utter the words “I’m running for president!” Another joined Rep. John Delaney today.

Former West Virginia candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, Richard Ojeda, announced at an event Monday that he is running for the Democratic nomination for the presidency.

That sound you hear is the collective “Who?” of fellow readers. And, yes, that’s former candidate, not former Congressman. He didn’t win.

But, hey, if you’re going to be a no-name in what’s looking to be a crowded race with at least as many candidates as Republicans had in 2015/2016, then you might as well announce early so at least your name comes up. Like here. That was likely Jim Gilmore’s biggest mistake in 2016.

If this is the way the Democratic race for 2020 is going to go. Well, I’m here for you, Democrats.
