Pres. Trump lambasted the media on Monday following the F.B.I.  raid of Trump fixer Michael Cohen’s offices.

Trump laughingly called the raid an “attack on our country.” The Cohen saga isn’t an attack on our country in any sense of the word. What it is at some level, is the mark of how very unserious a campaign Donald Trump had and things a serious politician would’ve had vetted about them before they thought about running had to be fixed only when it became an imperative as Trump took the Republican nomination.

Trump also called it a “total witch hunt.” Whether it’s a witch hunt or not is in the eye of the beholder. The thing about witch hunts is you never know it’s one until after the facts come out.

Trump does rightly call out the media and others over their obsession with his pre-presidential illicit love life when serious things, like Syrians being gassed, are happening.”They continue to just go forward and here we are talking about Syria, we’re talking about a lot of serious things … and I have this witch hunt constantly going on for over 12 months now.
